Ken McNeill
Kenneth McNeill, MD, MP (1918 – 2001), was a Jamaican political figure and a renowned surgeon. He died at the age of 83 in Jamaica. He is the father of five children including present politician Wykeham McNeill Kenneth Wykeham McNeill, MD, MP, CD (born October 1957 in Kingston, St. Andrew Parish) is a Jamaican politician, former Member of Parliament for Westmoreland West, Jamaica. Doctor of Medicine (abbreviated M.D., from the Latin language, Latin ''Medicinae Doctor'') is a medical degree, the meaning of which varies between different jurisdictions. In the United States, and some other countries, the M.D. denotes a professional degree. This generally arose because many in 18th-century medical professions trained in Scotland, which used the M.D. degree nomenclature.
