The Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Center is a large building complex in Beijing that opened in 1992. It comprises three main parts: YouYi Shopping City (燕莎友谊商城), Kempinski Hotel Beijing (北京燕莎中心有限公司凯宾斯基饭店) and the Kempinski Serviced Apartments/ office complex. The YouYi Shopping City primarily carries top western clothing brands. The Kempinski Hotel offers 526 rooms of different categories and was the German House during the 2008 Summer Olympics. The 2008 Summer Olympics (), officially the Games of the XXIX Olympiad () and also known as Beijing 2008 (), were an international multisport event held from 8 to 24 August 2008, in Beijing, China. A total of 10,942 athletes from 204 National Olympic Committees (NOCs) competed in 28 sports and 302 events, one event more than those scheduled for the 2004 Summer Olympics. Paulaner
Paulaner is a German brewery, established in 1634 in Munich by the Minim friars of the ''Neudeck ob der Au'' cloister. The mendicant order and the brewery are named after Francis of Paola, the founder of the order. Paulaner is one of the six breweries who provide beer for Oktoberfest. Paulaner ranks number six among Germany's best-selling beers. History The monks in the Neudeck ob der Au Monastery in Munich brewed a strong beer, the Paulaner Salvator, naturally according to the Purity Law of 1516.
