On December 24, 2004, Rossa released a new album entitled ''"Kembali"'' with a Pop Progressive theme. Before this album was officially released, the two newest singles had already been made into soap opera soundtracks. The first is that the song "Pudar" became the soundtrack for the soap opera "Do'iku Beken" produced by Multi Vision Plus for RCTI. Second, the song "Bicara Pada Bintang" for the soundtrack of the soap opera "Pura-Pura Buta" produced by Soraya Intercine Films for Indosiar. Even more special, Yoyo (Padi) also helped in arranging the song "Wanita Yang Kau Pilih" created by young musician Dino. Several other great musicians involved include Icha (Jikustik), Lucky (Element), and many more. There are also senior musicians such as Tohpati, Melly Goeslaw and Anto Hoed. Even though two of her songs have appeared on the radio, Rossa still has her mainstay song, namely "Aku Bukan Untukmu". Sri Rossa Roslaina Handiyani, known simply as Rossa in Indonesia and Datuk, Dato' Sri Rossa in Malaysia, is an Indonesian singer and businesswoman. Born in Sumedang, West Java, Indonesia on 9 October 1978, she is one of the most popular artists in Indonesian language, Indonesian and Malay language, Malay-speaking countries, the most expensive Indonesian singer in Malaysia and best-selling Indonesian artists of all-time based on album sales, selling over eleven million copies in the region until 2021. Progressive Pop
Progressive pop is pop music that attempts to break with the genre's standard formula, or an offshoot of the progressive rock genre that was commonly heard on AM radio in the 1970s and 1980s. It was originally termed for the early progressive rock of the 1960s. Some stylistic features of progressive pop include hooks and earworms, unorthodox or colorful instrumentation, changes in key and rhythm, experiments with larger forms, and unexpected, disruptive, or ironic treatments of past conventions. In May 2002, Rossa released a single entitled "Kini". This single is part of Rossa's new album entitled ''KINI'', created by 9 great Indonesian musicians such as Yovie Widyanto, Iszur Muchtar, Melly Goeslaw and others which was released on 30 April 2002. On this album, Rossa remake Fariz RM's hit song entitled "Sakura" in a fresher and more modern version. In this album era, Rossa also starred in the latest soap opera entitled "Perisai Kasih" with the song "Kepastian" from Rossa as the main theme song. The main single on this album is Kini by Yovie Widyanto, followed by Perawan Cinta by Melly Goeslaw, Bila Salah by Ricky Five Minutes, Sakura by Fariz RM and Kepastian by Glenn Fredly.
