Kelley Jones
Kelley Jones (born July 23, 1962) is an American comics artist best known for his work on ''Batman'' with writer Doug Moench and on '' The Sandman'' with writer Neil Gaiman. Early life Kelley Jones was born in Sacramento, California and grew up in Citrus Heights. He began reading comic books when "My brother came home one day, with a stack of comics (from school)...He had in there '' Marvel Collectors' Item Classics'' and ''Marvel's Greatest Comics'', something along those lines, and they were reprints of the '61, '62, '63 period. They knocked me OUT!" In 1979, Jones met artist Marshall Rogers at a San Francisco comics convention. After reviewing Jones' artwork, Rogers praised it and told him "You will make a great Batman artist someday. If you keep doing this, I can see you doing a ''great'' Batman!" Lambiek
Galerie Lambiek is a Dutch comic book store and art gallery in Amsterdam, founded on November 8, 1968 by Kees Kousemaker (, – Bussum, ), though since 2007, his son Boris Kousemaker is the current owner. From 1968 to 2015, it was located in the Kerkstraat, but in November 2015, the store moved to the Koningsstraat 27. As of 2018, Lambiek is the oldest comics store in Europe, and the oldest worldwide still in existence. The name "Lambiek" originated as a misspelling of the name of the comics character Lambik, from the popular Suske & Wiske comic book series created by Belgian artist Willy Vandersteen. Vertigo Comics, also known as DC Vertigo or simply Vertigo, was an imprint of American comic book publisher DC Comics started by editor Karen Berger in 1993. Ogre (DC Comics)
Ogre Ogre is a DC Comics character who appeared in '' Batman'' #535 (October 1996), created by Doug Moench and Kelley Jones. Ogre is a genetically altered man, whose brother is a genetically experimented Ape created by Doctor Winston Belmont. The man, Michael Adams, was increased in strength and the Ape in intelligence. The project created by Belmont was Project Mirakle, a top secret government project at Atsugi, where there were tested spy planes, as well as experiments on humans in the late 1950s. These experiments were made to create the perfect human agent but when funding was excavated so were the subjects. Michael Adams, as 23rd human experiment, managed to escape after 22 previous deaths. The Ogre tracked and murdered the scientists who collaborated with the project, only to be tracked by Batman himself. John Beatty (illustrator)
John R. Beatty (born May 6, 1961, in Whitesburg, Kentucky) is an American illustrator who has worked for Marvel Comics and DC Comics, primarily as an inker. Biography Beatty was born in Letcher County, Kentucky; he lived there for less than a year when his family moved to Holly Hill, Florida, a small city located between Daytona Beach and Ormond Beach. As a child, discovered and fell in love with the comic strips '' Dennis the Menace'' and ''Peanuts''. It wasn't until later that Beatty discovered superhero comic books when a friend who lived up the street sold him a box of comics for $20.00. Beatty's goal was to become a comic book artist.
