Kelcy Quarles
Kelcy Quarles (born January 23, 1992) is an American football defensive tackle who is a free agent. He played college football at South Carolina, and was signed by the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2014. Quarles has also been a member of the New England Patriots, Indianapolis Colts, Cleveland Browns, Calgary Stampeders, Edmonton Eskimos, and Saskatchewan Roughriders. A defensive tackle (DT) is a position in American football that will typically line up on the line of scrimmage, opposite one of the offensive guards, however he may also line up opposite one of the tackles. Defensive tackles are typically the largest and strongest of the defensive players. Depending on a team's individual defensive scheme, a defensive tackle may be called upon to fill several different roles. These roles may include merely holding the point of attack by refusing to be moved, or penetrating a certain gap between offensive linemen to break up a play in the opponent's backfield. If a defensive tackle reads a pass play, his primary responsibility is to pursue the quarterback, or simply knock the pass down at the line if it is within arm's reach. Ben Coates
Benjamin Terrence Coates, Jr. (born August 16, 1969) is an American former football tight end who played in the National Football League for 10 seasons, primarily with the New England Patriots. He played college football at Livingstone and was selected by the Patriots in the fifth round of the 1991 NFL Draft, where spent all but one season of his professional career. In his final season, he was a member of the Baltimore Ravens. During his nine seasons with the Patriots, Coates was a five-time Pro Bowler and two-time first-team All-Pro. He also made one Super Bowl appearance in Super Bowl XXXI. After being released by the Patriots, Coates signed with the Ravens and was part of the team that won Super Bowl XXXV. The All-America designation is an annual honor bestowed upon an amateur sports person from the United States who is considered to be one of the best amateurs in their sport. Individuals receiving this distinction are typically added to an All-America team for their sport. Some sports will have multiple All-America teams and will list the honorees as members of a first team, second team, or third team.
