Kekec's Tricks
''Kekec's Tricks'' ( sl, Kekčeve ukane) is a 1968 Yugoslav/Slovenian adventure film directed by Jože Gale. The film is based on the '' Kekec'' mountain narratives by Josip Vandot, originally published in Slovenian youth magazine Zvonček. It was produced at ''Viba film'' and distributed originally at ''Vesna film'' and currently at ''Viba film''. This is the last of three in the Jože Gale film series about Kekec and has two previous parts: '' Kekec'' from 1951 and '' Good Luck, Kekec (Srečno, Kekec!)'' from 1963. Plot In the third and the last part of the film trilogy about ''Kekec'' (Zlatko Krasnič), evil wild poacher ''Bedanec'' ( Polde Bibič) appears again. Kekec and his friends are there to chase and hunt Bedanec again and sent him far away. Bedanec catches ''Brincelj'' (Milorad Radovič) and ''Rožle'' (Boris Ivanovski). Josip Vandot
Josip Vandot (15 January 1884 – 11 July 1944) was a Slovene writer and poet who wrote mainly for young readers. Biography Vandot was born in Kranjska Gora in Upper Carniola, then part of Austria-Hungary, now in Slovenia. Under the interwar Kingdom of Yugoslavia, he was employed as a railway official in Maribor. In 1941, after the area was annexed by Germany, Vandot was deported to Croatia. He was killed in the Allied bombing of Slavonski Brod in 1944. A street is now named for him in Kranjska Gora. Polde Bibič
Polde Bibič (3 February 1933 – 13 July 2012) was a Slovenian stage and film actor, a writer, and an academic professor, best known for his role in the film '' Flowers in Autumn'' and his work in theater, Bibič was a recipient of several top awards in the field of arts in Slovenia. Life Bibič was born in Maribor. He attended the secondary school in the town and then studied stage plays in Ljubljana under Vida Juvan. He finished his studies in 1961. He first appeared in the film '' Moments of Decision'' (''Trenutki odločitve''; 1955), directed by František Čap. Later, he worked in the Ljubljana Drama Theatre, where he was also the director from 1977 until 1981. He was a professor of theatre at the Ljubljana Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television. He died aged 79 in Ljubljana. Bojan Adamič
Bojan Adamič a.k.a. Master ( sl, Mojster; 9 August 1912 – 3 November 1995), Slovene Partisans nom de guerre Gregor, was a well-known Slovene composer of jazz, the Slovenian song festival music, and particularly film scores. He was also an avid photographer, interested particularly in carnival figures from Ptuj. Life Adamič was born in Ribnica in the Duchy of Carniola, Austria-Hungary. He finished the Poljane Grammar School in 1931, and earned a degree in piano from the Ljubljana Music Academy in June 1941. During World War II, he financially supported the anti-fascist Slovenian resistance movement. In 1943, he joined Slovene Partisans, where he was also injured in an attack by Germans and was relocated to the headquarters, providing music that was then emitted by the Liberation Front Radio. ''Kekec'' is a 1951 Slovene/Yugoslavian adventure-youth film directed by Jože Gale. The film was based on the ''Kekec Above the Lonely Abyss'' (), a mountain narrative by Josip Vandot, the last of three stories about ''Kekec'', which was published in Slovenian youth magazine Zvonček in 1924. The film was produced by ''Triglav Film'' and originally distributed by ''Vesna film'', currently at ''Viba film''. The story is set in the northwest part of Slovenian mountains, mainly in author's birthplace Kranjska Gora and Julian Alps. Kajetan Kovič (21 October 1931 – 7 November 2014) was a Slovene poet, writer, translator, and journalist. In 1978, he received the Prešeren Award, the highest artistic award in Slovenia, for his poetry collection ''Labrador.'' Life Kovič was born in Maribor in 1931 and spent his childhood in the small town of Poljčane and Hrastje–Mota near Radenci in eastern Slovenia. The Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra (''Simfonični orkester Slovenske filharmonije'') is a Slovenian orchestra based in Ljubljana.
