Keiō Dōbutsuen Line
The is a railway line in Hino, Tokyo, Japan, owned by the Keio Corporation, which connects Takahatafudō on the Keiō Main Line and Tama-Dōbutsukōen (for Tama Zoo and the Keio Rail-Land railway amusement park). Keio 6000 Series
The was an electric multiple unit (EMU) train type in Japan, operated by Keio Corporation on its suburban Tokyo commuter rail network between 1972 and 2011. It was the first rolling stock in Keio's history with long cars with four pairs of doors per car side. Sets were refurbished from 1986 to extend their service life. A four-car formation was used on the Keio Dobutsuen Line as a ''wanman'' driver-only-operated shuttle service. One-person Operation
One-person operation (OPO), also known as driver-only operation (DOO), one-man operation (OMO), single person train operation (SPTO), or one-person train operation (OPTO), similarly to Driver Controlled Operation, is operation of a train, bus, or tram by the driver alone, without a conductor. On one-person operated passenger trains, the engineer must be able to see the whole train to make sure that all the doors are safe for departure. On curved platforms a CCTV system, mirror or station dispatch staff are required. A single-track railway is a railway where trains traveling in both directions share the same track. Single track is usually found on lesser-used rail lines, often branch lines, where the level of traffic is not high enough to justify the cost of constructing and maintaining a second track. Advantages and disadvantages Single track is significantly cheaper to build and maintain, but has operational and safety disadvantages.
