Keith Ward (footballer)
Keith Ward (born 12 October 1990) is an Irish association football player who plays as a midfielder for League of Ireland club Dundalk. Ward began his professional career at UCD before moving to the Lilywhites for the first of three spells. He made his debut for Bohemians in 2012. Ward moved on from Bohemians to have spells at Sligo Rovers and Derry City respectively, before returning to Bohs for the 2017 season. Ward joined a select number of Bohemian players when he scored in an away tie in European competition against Hungarian side Fehérvár during Bohs UEFA Europa League qualifier in 2020. Bohemians were eventually knocked out on penalties. Ward signed for his current team, Dundalk, in December 2021, with his deal effective from January 2022, when his contract at Bohemians ends. 2014 Setanta Sports Cup
The 2014 Setanta Sports Cup was the ninth and final staging of the annual all-Ireland football competition. It commenced on 24 February 2014 and concluded on 10 May 2014 with the final. Shamrock Rovers were the defending champions, following a comfortable 7–1 win over Drogheda United in the 2013 final. This season's competition was reduced in size from twelve clubs down to eight, with four clubs representing each league. The competition was originally going to feature Linfield, who were inaugural winners of this competition in 2005 and had appeared in all eight editions of the competition to date, and 2012–13 IFA Premiership champions Cliftonville. The 2011 Setanta Sports Cup was the sixth staging of the all Ireland association football competition. It commenced on 14 February 2011 with the final played on 14 May 2011. The draw for the 2011 competition was made at Belfast City Hall on 13 December 2010. Changes to structure For the 2011 competition, the Setanta Cup was expanded to 12 teams, of which the four highest ranked teams received a bye into the quarter-finals. Setanta Cup
The Setanta Sports Cup was a club football competition featuring teams from both football associations on the island of Ireland. Inaugurated in 2005, it was a cross-border competition between clubs in the League of Ireland from the Republic of Ireland and the NIFL Premiership from Northern Ireland. The cup was sponsored by Setanta Sports, the Irish subscription sports television network. The competition was discontinued after the 2014 edition. 2021 FAI Cup Final
The 2021 FAI Cup Final, known as the 2021 Extra.ie FAI Cup Final for sponsorship reasons, was the final match of the 2021 FAI Cup, the national association football cup of the Republic of Ireland. The match took place on Sunday 28 November at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, and was contested by St Patrick's Athletic and Bohemians. St Patrick's Athletic captained by Ian Bermingham won the game 4–3 on penalties after a 1–1 draw in which both Chris Forrester and Rory Feely scored against their former clubs. Prematch St Patrick's Athletic were looking to win their fourth FAI Cup after winning in 1959, 1961, and 2014. The League of Ireland Cup ( ga, Corn Sraithe na hÉireann), also referred to in Ireland as the 'League Cup', is an annual knockout competition in men's football in the Republic of Ireland. It is contested by League of Ireland clubs and invited clubs from the lower levels of the Republic of Ireland football league system. It has been sponsored by Electronic Arts and branded the EA Sports Cup since 2009. The competition began in 1973–74, replacing the League of Ireland Shield and the Dublin City Cup. It has had several formats since its inception and has been a knock-out competition since 2005. The 2020 League of Ireland Premier Division, known as the SSE Airtricity League for sponsorship reasons, was the 36th season of the League of Ireland Premier Division. The league began on 14 February 2020 and concluded on 9 November 2020. The fixtures were announced on 20 December 2019. The season was halted in mid-March because of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Republic of Ireland following the directive of the Irish government and the Football Association of Ireland.
