Keith Taylor (British Politician)
Keith Richard Taylor (1 August 1953 – 31 October 2022) was a Green Party of England and Wales politician who was MEP for South East England from 2010 to 2019 and was the Party's animal rights spokesperson until his retirement in 2019. He was one of the two Principal Speakers of the party from August 2004 to November 2006. Early career Before becoming a Green Party activist, Taylor lived in Brighton and owned a local business. Taylor "took to community activism opposing an inappropriate local development", leading him to join the Green Party. Taylor was a participant in the campaign by BUDD, opposing the development now called the New England Quarter adjacent to Brighton railway station. Keith Taylor (born November 20, 1998) is an American professional football cornerback for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Washington. Early life Taylor grew up in Long Beach, California, and initially attended St. John Bosco High School before transferring to Servite High School after his sophomore year. He was named first-team All-Trinity League and second-team All-Orange County by the ''Orange County Register''. College career Taylor appeared in 12 games as a true freshman, playing on special teams and as a reserve defensive back. He started two games as a sophomore. He started all 13 of Washington's games as a junior and finished the year with 59 tackles with two tackles for loss and five passes broken up. Keith John Taylor (born 26 December 1946) is an Australian science fiction and fantasy writer. Biography Born in Tasmania, Taylor now resides in Melbourne, Australia. Getting his start in Ted White's ''Fantastic'', Taylor went on to collaborate with Andrew J. Offutt on two novels based upon the Robert E. Howard hero, Cormac Mac Art – an Irish Viking active in King Arthur's time. Taylor's series of novels centering on an Irish character of his own creation – the bard Felimid mac Fal – was published throughout the 1980s. Much of Taylor's fictional output in the 1990s was in the Arthurian fantasy subgenre. Many stories featuring his character, Kamose the Magician, were published in Weird Tales in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Taylor suffered a protracted illness beginning in 2003. Keith Weller Taylor (born 1946) is an American sinologist, historian and writer noted for his expertise on Vietnamese history and Vietnamese literature. He currently is Professor of Sino-Vietnamese Cultural Studies in the Department of Asian Studies at Cornell University. Unlike most Western Vietnam historians, who write primarily about the 20th century and, in particular, about the US intervention, Taylor's research focuses mostly on pre-colonial Vietnamese history before the 20th century. He is now considered one of the pioneer experts in this field. He fought in Vietnam as a soldier in the United States Army, and subsequently has visited Vietnam for research and scholarly exchange many times and lived continuously in Vietnam for two years in the early 1990s while studying and teaching. Keith Taylor (born 1952) is a Canadian poet, translator and professor. Life and work Born in British Columbia, Taylor spent his childhood in Alberta and Indiana. After earning an M.A. in English from Central Michigan University, he worked a variety of odd jobs: the co-host of a radio talk show, a house painter, a freight handler, a teacher, a freelance writer. He also worked at Shaman Drum, a leading independent bookstore, for twenty years. He currently lives in Ann Arbor with his wife and daughter and is a professor in the creative writing program at University of Michigan. Keith Taylor (25 March 1949 - 3 January 2006) was a British political scientist who was an authority on the politics of Utopian socialism, about which he wrote and convened an academic seminar in the 1980s when the area was of little academic interest in Britain. In 2000 he founded Kidney Cancer UK, a support organisation for kidney cancer patients and their carers after he himself was diagnosed with the disease. Early life Keith Taylor was born in Manchester on 25 March 1949.
