Keith Heyward
Keith Heyward Jr. (born February 2, 1980) is an American football coach who is the defensive coordinator for the Oregon State Beavers of the Pac-12 (NCAA). His football career began at his alma mater, Oregon State, where he started 35 consecutive games as a cornerback for the Beavers. After completing his 4th season with Oregon State, Heyward played professionally. His coaching career kicked off after his professional endeavors, with his most recent coaching positions at the University of Southern California (2014-2015), the University of Washington (2012-2013), the University of Louisville (2016), the University of Oregon (2017-2020), the University of California (2021) and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (2022). Oregon State University

2008 Sun Bowl
The 2008 Brut Sun Bowl, part of the 2008–09 NCAA Division I FBS bowl season, was played on December 31, 2008 at the stadium of the same name on the campus of the University of Texas at El Paso in El Paso, Texas. The 75th annual contest pitted the Pittsburgh Panthers against the Oregon State Beavers. Pittsburgh previously appeared in the Sun Bowl in 1975 and 1989. Oregon State previously appeared in the Sun Bowl only once, in 2006. Entering the contest, the teams had a combined 3–0 record in Sun Bowls. Al Afalava
Al Mitchell Afalava (born January 20, 1987) is a former American football safety. He was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the sixth round of the 2009 NFL Draft. He also played for the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans. He played in college for Oregon State University. Early years Al Afalava was born in Laie, Hawai'i on January 20, 1987. He played high school football at Kahuku High & Intermediate School. As a junior, he led Kahuku to a 10-2 record and an appearance in the semifinals of the 2004 state playoffs. Brandon Hardin
Brandon Hardin (born October 30, 1989) is a former American football safety who played in the National Football League (NFL) for two seasons. Hardin was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He played college at Oregon State. College career In his college career, he registered 105 tackles, one interception, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery in 38 games. Keenan Girod Lewis (born May 17, 1986) is a former American football cornerback. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the third round of the 2009 NFL Draft, and also played for the New Orleans Saints. He played college football at Oregon State. High school Lewis attended O. Perry Walker High School in New Orleans, Louisiana and was schoolmates and teammates with NFL wide receiver Mike Wallace. Brandon D. Hughes (born May 23, 1986) is a former American football cornerback. After playing college football for Oregon State, he was selected by the San Diego Chargers in the fifth round of the 2009 NFL draft. He was also a member of the New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles and Cleveland Browns, before retiring in 2014. Lance Robert Mitchell (born October 9, 1981) is a former American football player. He was drafted in the fifth round of the 2005 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals. Jordan Lynn-Baxter Poyer (born April 25, 1991) is an American football strong safety for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Oregon State, where he was named a consensus All-American. Cornerback
A cornerback (CB) is a member of the defensive backfield or secondary in gridiron football. Cornerbacks cover receivers most of the time, but also blitz and defend against such offensive running plays as sweeps and reverses. They create turnovers through hard tackles, interceptions, and deflecting forward passes. Other members of the defensive backfield include strong and free safeties.
