Keith Millar Hardie (born 13 May 1947) is a Scottish former first-class cricketer. The son of John Millar Hardie, he was born in May 1974 at Larbert, Larbert, Stirlingshire. He was educated there at Larbert High School. A club cricketer for Stenhousemuir Cricket Club, Hardie made his debut for Scotland national cricket team, Scotland in first-class cricket against Ireland cricket team, Ireland at The Grange Club, Edinburgh in 1966. He played first-class cricket for Scotland until 1976, making ten appearances. Playing as an all-rounder in the Scottish side, Hardie scored 158 runs at an batting average (cricket), average of 22.57; he made one half century, a score of 65 not out against Ireland in his final first-class match. As a slow left-arm orthodox bowler, he took 35 wickets at a bowling average of 17.88, with best figures of 4 for 23. His brother, Brian Hardie, Brian, had a lengthy career in county cricket with Essex County Cricket Club, Essex. References External links

Larbert ( gd, Lèirbert/Leth-pheairt, sco, Lairbert) is a small town in the Falkirk council area of Scotland. The town lies in the Forth Valley above the River Carron which flows from the west. Larbert is from the shoreline of the Firth of Forth and northwest of Falkirk, the main town in the area. The village of Stenhousemuir lies directly east of Larbert, with both settlements being contiguous and sharing certain public amenities with one another. In medieval times, the Larbert area was heavily forested, but this was cleared and gave rise to much of the agricultural land which surrounds the town. The coming of industry and especially the arrival in the 1840s of the Scottish Central Railway, which passes through the village, provided a base for economic growth. From the late 18th century until the mid-20th century heavy industry, such as boilermaking, casting and manufacturing underpinned the economy of Larbert.
