Keith Gill (athletic Director)
Keith Gill is the commissioner of the Sun Belt Conference, a collegiate athletic conference in the United States. As such, Gill is also the first African-American to serve as a commissioner of any FBS conference in NCAA history. Gill previously served as athletic director at the University of Richmond from 2012 to 2017, as athletic director at American University from 2007 to 2012, and as senior associate athletic director at the University of Oklahoma from 2004 to 2007. Gill attended college at Duke University, where he played running back on the Duke Blue Devils football team. Gill was named the commissioner of the Sun Belt Conference on March 18, 2019. Commissioner
A commissioner (commonly abbreviated as Comm'r) is, in principle, a member of a commission or an individual who has been given a commission (official charge or authority to do something). In practice, the title of commissioner has evolved to include a variety of senior officials, often sitting on a specific commission. In particular, the commissioner frequently refers to senior police or government officials. A high commissioner is equivalent to an ambassador, originally between the United Kingdom and the Dominions and now between all Commonwealth states, whether Commonwealth realms, republics or countries having a monarch other than that of the realms. A running back (RB) is a member of the offensive backfield in gridiron football. The primary roles of a running back are to receive American football plays#Offensive terminology, handoffs from the quarterback to Rush (American football)#Offense, rush the ball, to line up as a receiver to catch the ball, and Blocking (American football), block.
