''Keith Gattis'' is the self-titled debut album of American country music singer Keith Gattis. It was released in 1996 via RCA Records. The album includes the singles "Little Drops of My Heart", which peaked at number 53 on Hot Country Songs, and "Real Deal". Critical reception Chuck Hamilton of ''Country Standard Time'' gave the album a positive review, saying that Gattis "covers a variety of hard country styles and has the vocal equipment to handle it all convincingly." It received 4.5 stars out of 5 from Michael McCall of Allmusic, who compared Gattis' voice favorably to Johnny Paycheck and George Jones. Keith Gattis (born May 26, 1970) is an American country music artist, songwriter, guitarist and producer. Gattis has released two studio albums and charted one single while signed to RCA Nashville on the ''Billboard'' Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart: "Little Drops of My Heart". In 2002, Gattis joined Dwight Yoakam's as band leader and lead electric guitar player and is credited on Yoakam's Blame The Vain. In 2005, Gattis released his critically acclaimed record ''Big City Blues.'' ''RPM'' ( and later ) was a Canadian music-industry publication that featured song and album charts for Canada. The publication was founded by Walt Grealis in February 1964, supported through its existence by record label owner Stan Klees. ''RPM'' ceased publication in November 2000. Mandolin
A mandolin ( it, mandolino ; literally "small mandola") is a stringed musical instrument in the lute family and is generally plucked with a pick. It most commonly has four courses of doubled strings tuned in unison, thus giving a total of 8 strings, although five (10 strings) and six (12 strings) course versions also exist. A steel guitar ( haw, kīkākila) is any guitar played while moving a steel bar or similar hard object against plucked strings. The bar itself is called a "steel" and is the source of the name "steel guitar". The instrument differs from a conventional guitar in that it is played without using frets; conceptually, it is somewhat akin to playing a guitar with one finger (the bar). Known for its portamento capabilities, gliding smoothly over every pitch between notes, the instrument can produce a sinuous crying sound and deep vibrato emulating the human singing voice.
