The following is a list of characters that first appeared in the ITV soap opera ''Coronation Street'' in 2005, by order of first appearance. Scooter Makuna Hiren "Scooter" Makuna, first appeared in early 2005 as the boyfriend of Sarah Platt ( Tina O'Brien). He was of Indian descent. His character was mostly remembered for not being very bright, having a fondness for fish and getting great pleasure in retrieving junk from skips. Scooter and Sarah broke up in the autumn of 2005 after an argument. He left the Street soon afterwards. Molly Dobbs
Molly Dobbs (also Compton) is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera ''Coronation Street''. Portrayed by Vicky Binns, she debuted on 5 September 2005. Introduced as the daughter of a local baker, she is the love interest and later wife of Tyrone Dobbs. On 6 May 2010, Binns announced she was quitting the soap. Dobbs was killed off on 9 December 2010 in a live episode celebrating the show's 50th anniversary, by a tram crashing into the corner shop. Michael Le Vell
Michael Robert Turner (born 15 December 1964), known professionally as Michael Le Vell, is an English actor. He is best known for his role as mechanic Kevin Webster in the long-running ITV (TV channel), ITV soap opera ''Coronation Street'', a role he has played since 1983. Early life Le Vell was born in Newton Heath, Manchester. When he was fifteen, his mother died from a brain tumour, and when he was 22, his father died of lung cancer. Kevin Webster
Kevin Webster is a Character (arts), fictional character from the Television in the United Kingdom, British ITV (TV network), ITV soap opera ''Coronation Street''. Portrayed by Michael Le Vell, the character first appeared on-screen during the episode airing on 19 October 1983. Johnny Briggs (actor)
John Ernest Briggs (5 September 1935 – 28 February 2021) was an English actor. He was known for his role as Mike Baldwin in the soap opera '' Coronation Street'', in which he appeared from 1976 to 2006. Early life Briggs was born in Battersea, south-west London, on 5 September 1935. His father was a master carpenter. He was evacuated from London during the Blitz campaign of World War II. He was awarded a scholarship to train at the Italia Conti Academy stage school when he was 12 years old. There, he learned alongside Millicent Martin, Nanette Newman and Anthony Newley. Michael Vernon "Mike" Baldwin is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera ''Coronation Street'', portrayed by Johnny Briggs. Weatherfield is a fictional town based on Salford, Greater Manchester, which has been the setting for the British ITV soap opera ''Coronation Street'' since its inception in 1960. Much of Weatherfield has been seen by viewers throughout the years, though the primary focus from the viewer's perspective is the eponymous Coronation Street, a cobbled street where many of the programme's characters live. Ian Reddington
Ian Reddington (born 25 September 1957) is an English actor with many stage and television credits since the early 1980s. He became widely known for television roles such as the Chief Clown in the ''Doctor Who'' serial ''The Greatest Show in the Galaxy'', Richard Cole in ''EastEnders'' and Vernon Tomlin in ''Coronation Street''.
