Keiko Kishi
is a Japanese actress, writer, and UNFPA Goodwill Ambassador. Life and career She made her acting debut in 1951. In the 1950s, David Lean had proposed her for the main role in ''The Wind Cannot Read'', which is about a Japanese language instructor in India circa-1943 who falls in love with a British officer, but the project fell through. Kishi married the French director Yves Ciampi in 1957, and commuted for a while between Paris and Japan to continue her acting career. In 1963 a daughter, Delphine Ciampi, a musician and composer, was born. She divorced her husband in 1975. Since 1996 she has been a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). In 2002, she won the Japan Academy Prize for best actress for her role in the film '' Kah-chan.'' Yokohama

Snow Prince
is a 2009 Japanese film. This film is adapted from the 1872 novel '' A Dog of Flanders'' and is inspired by the 1971 film '' A Small Love Melody''. Directed by Joji Matsuoka and written by Kundō Koyama—the scriptwriter for the film '' Departures'', it is a poignant story of a middle class woman's teenage friendship with a poor artist. Shintaro Morimoto plays the role of Sota, the orphan artist who lives with his grandfather, and Marino Kuwashima plays the role of Sota's friend, Sayo. is a live-action TV drama adaptation of ''Grave of the Fireflies'', made by NTV in Japan. It was produced in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the end of World War II. The drama aired on November 1, 2005. Like the anime, the live-action version of ''Grave of the Fireflies'' focuses on two siblings, Seita and Setsuko, struggling to survive the final days of the war in Kobe, Japan. Unlike the animated version, however, it tells the story from the point of view of their cousin (their aunt's daughter) and also deals with the issue of how the war-time environment could change a kind lady into a hard-hearted woman.
