Keidean Coleman ( ; born 31 March 2000) is an Australian rules football, Australian rules footballer who plays for the Brisbane Lions in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early life Coleman was born in Katherine, Northern Territory to a family of Indigenous Australians, Indigenous Australian descent (Dalabon people, Dalabon and Jawoyn). At nine years of age he moved to Brisbane for better education opportunities and to pursue a career in football. While in Brisbane, he initially played junior football for the Wynnum Football Club, Wynnum Vikings before switching to Morningside Australian Football Club, Morningside to play in the top level QAFL competition. He impressed enough to be placed in the Brisbane Lions developmental academy and was considered a future Australian Football League, AFL prospect in the lead up to his draft year. Katherine, Northern Territory
Katherine is a town in the Northern Territory of Australia. It is situated on the Katherine River, after which it is named, southeast of Darwin. Wynnum Vikings Football Club is an Australian rules football club based in the Brisbane seaside suburb of Wynnum, Queensland. The team, which first competed in the SQAFA in 1971, currently plays in the QFA Division 1. History Background The first "Wynnum Football Club" had played in the QFL. Based in the Brisbane seaside suburb of Wynnum, the club first competed in the QFL in 1905. They played in the league for 20 years winning premierships in 1909 and 1920.
