Keidane McAlpine
Keidane McAlpine (born January 12, 1975) is an American college soccer coach and the current head coach of the Georgia Bulldogs women's soccer team. McAlpine was the previous head coach of USC Trojans women's soccer team who he led to a National Championship in 2016. Coaching career In July 2006, McAlpine was hired as an assistant coach at Auburn University. Later, in January 2012, he was hired to be the head coach at Washington State Washington (), officially the State of Washington, is a state in the Pacific Northwest region of the Western United States. Named for George Washington—the first U.S. president—the state was formed from the western part of the Washington .... He was then hired to be the head coach at USC in December 2013. College soccer in the United States is played by teams composed of soccer players who are enrolled in colleges and universities. College soccer in the United States is sponsored by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the sports regulatory body for major universities, and by the governing bodies for smaller universities and colleges. College soccer teams play a variety of conference and non-conference games throughout the fall season, with the season culminating in the post-season tournament called the College Cup. Southeastern Conference
The Southeastern Conference (SEC) is an American college athletic conference whose member institutions are located primarily in the South Central and Southeastern United States. Its fourteen members include the flagship public universities of ten states, three additional public land-grant universities, and one private research university. The conference is headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama. 2021 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Tournament
The 2021 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Tournament was the 40th edition of the NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Tournament, a postseason tournament to determine the national champion of NCAA Division I women's college soccer. The College Cup was played on December 3 and December 6. It was originally set to be played in San Jose, California, but was moved to Stevens Stadium due to a conflict with the MLS playoffs schedule. The Florida State Seminoles defeated the BYU Cougars on penalty kicks to win the National Championship. Qualification The tournament returned to 64 teams after only featuring 48 teams in the 2020 edition due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tournament also returns to the fall, after being held in the spring in 2020. The tournament also returned to its normal format of having the higher seeds host matches until the College Cup.
