Keesha Ulricka Sharp ( née Fletch; born June 9, 1973) is an American actress and film / television director. She began her career appearing on television dramas, before her regular role as Monica Charles Brooks in the UPN/The CW comedy series, '' Girlfriends'' (2002–08), for which she received NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series nomination. Sharp later has appeared in films include '' American Adobo'' (2002), '' Why Did I Get Married?'' (2007), and from 2010 to 2013 co-starred in the TBS sitcom, '' Are We There Yet?''. In 2016, she played Dale Cochran, the wife of Johnnie Cochran, in the FX anthology drama series, '' The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story''. Reginald C. Hayes (born July 15, 1969) is an American actor, screenwriter, and director. He is best known for his role as William Dent on the UPN/ CW show '' Girlfriends''. ''Jitney'' is a play by American playwright August Wilson. The eighth in his " Pittsburgh Cycle", this play is set in a worn-down gypsy cab station in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in early autumn 1977. The play premiered on Broadway in 2017. Productions ''Jitney'' was written in 1979 and first produced in 1982 at the small Allegheny Repertory Theatre, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. When Wilson took his mother to see that production they arrived by jitney. That was followed by a separate production at Penumbra Theatre in St. Paul, Minnesota.
