Keelan Leyser
Keelan Leyser is a British-born magician, mentalist and quick change artist. Keelan is known for his multiple television appearances spanning over 25 years. He is recognised for his magic with digital technology and his quick change act. Early life Leyser was raised in Coulsdon, Surrey. He attended The John Fisher School in Purley. Leyser was inspired to become a magician at the age of four after seeing magician Lance Burton perform in Las Vegas . In 1994, when he was 13 years old, Keelan won the title of British Junior Magical Champion at the British Magical Championships. When Leyser was 15 years old he performed for Prince Charles in Croydon, Surrey. After performing on many television shows, like Surprise Surprise, Blue Peter and This Morning, Leyser went on to tour the UK alongside Basil Brush in a show called The Fox Factor. Magic (illusion)
Magic, which encompasses the subgenres of illusion, stage magic, and close up magic, among others, is a performing art in which audiences are entertained by tricks, effects, or illusions of seemingly impossible feats, using natural means. Modern Jive
Modern Jive is a dance style derived from swing, Lindy Hop, rock and roll, salsa and others, the main difference being the simplification of footwork by removing syncopation such as chasse. The term "French Jive" is occasionally used instead, reflecting the origins of the style, as is the term "Smooth Jive". The word "modern" distinguishes it from ballroom Jive. Arturo Brachetti
Arturo Brachetti (; born 13 October 1957) is an Italian quick-change artist considered the best quick change performer in the world. In the Guinness Book of Records he is described as the quickest and most prolific quick change artist in the world. Biography Brachetti was born in Turin. His career covers a wide artistic range and has made him an international name. The change from one costume to another is performed in a matter of seconds, often by throwing a sheet up and completely changing costume by the time it falls. In the current show, Brachetti performs 80 characters in one evening. His skills also include shadowgraphy and sand painting. ''Penn & Teller: Fool Us'' is a magic competition television show in which magicians perform tricks in front of American magician-comedian duo Penn & Teller. Its first two seasons were hosted by Jonathan Ross, and the third season onwards by Alyson Hannigan. The Lowdown (TV Series)
The Lowdown is a documentary series for young people first broadcast on CBBC (TV channel), Children's BBC in 1988. Reminiscent of World in Action and Panorama (TV series), Panorama it was produced by Landseer Productions, and broadcast after Newsround (and similar to Newsround Extra) until 1998. One episode of the documentary (filmed in Page Moss, Liverpool in 1992) looked at an educational programme called "Child to Child" and how it was being used to combat problems with solvent abuse that were prevalent in the area at the time. Geoffrey Durham
Geoffrey Durham (born 22 July 1949) is a British comedy magician and actor who was known for many years as "the Great Soprendo". Early life Durham was born in East Molesey, Surrey, England. At the age of ten, he developed an interest in magic and performed occasional shows for friends and relatives. By the age of 13, however, that interest had waned. He later studied Spanish at Leeds University and then took a job as a stage-hand at the Leeds City Varieties Theatre. He worked there for 18 months, ending up as head flyman, and then left to become an actor. After working in various stage shows for several years his interest in magic was rekindled while preparing for a show in Liverpool, in which his character performed some tricks. Priscilla Maria Veronica White (27 May 1943 – 1 August 2015), better known as Cilla Black, was an English singer, actress and television presenter.
