Keegan Lowe
Keegan Lowe (born March 29, 1993) is an American-born Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman. He is currently playing with HC Bolzano in the ICE Hockey League (ICEHL). Lowe was selected by the Carolina Hurricanes in the 3rd round (73rd overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft and has played in 4 games in the National Hockey League (NHL) between the Hurricanes and the Edmonton Oilers. He is the son of longtime Oilers executive and former player Kevin Lowe and Olympic bronze medalist Karen Percy. Playing career As a youth, Lowe played in the 2006 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with the Edmonton Oilers minor ice hockey team. On March 13, 2013, the Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League signed Lowe to a three-year, two-way contract. Charlotte Checkers
The Charlotte Checkers are a minor-league professional ice hockey team based in Charlotte, North Carolina. They are members of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference in the American Hockey League (AHL), and are the top minor league affiliate of the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League (NHL). A two-way contract is a professional sports contract that stipulates that an athlete's salary is dependent upon the league in which the athlete is assigned to play. This is opposed to a one-way contract that would pay the same salary regardless of where the athlete is assigned to play. Goal (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, a goal is scored when the puck entirely crosses the goal line between the two goal posts and below the goal crossbar. A goal awards one point to the team attacking the goal scored upon, regardless of which team the player who actually deflected the puck into the goal belongs to (see also own goal). San Diego Gulls
The San Diego Gulls are a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League (AHL) that began play in the 2015–16 season. Based in San Diego, California, and affiliated with the National Hockey League's Anaheim Ducks, the Gulls play their home games at the Pechanga Arena.
