''Kedung Sepur'' (or ''Kedungsepur'') is a commuter rail line in Central Java, Indonesia operated by Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI), serving Semarang Poncol railway station, Semarang Poncol Station (in Semarang)–Ngrombo railway station, Ngrombo Station (in Grobogan Regency) route and vice versa. The service name is taken from initials of cities and regencies forming Semarang metropolitan area: Kendal Regency, Kendal, Demak Regency, Demak, Ungaran, Salatiga, Semarang, and Purwodadi, Grobogan, Purwodadi. ''Kedung Sepur'' is using Nippon Sharyo-built MCW Diesel multiple unit, DMU stock for its service. History ''Kedung Sepur'' was first operated on 28 September 2014 coincide with the anniversary of KAI, serving Weleri railway station, Weleri Station to Gubug railway station, Gubug. Due to the lack of enthusiasts at the time, the service was moved to Semarang Poncol-Ngrombo route starting on 1 February 2015. References

Kendal Regency
Kendal ( jv, ꦏꦼꦤ꧀ꦣꦭ꧀, Kendhal) is a regency in the northern part of Central Java province in Indonesia, west of Semarang. Its capital is Kendal. , formed in 1896, is a major rolling stock manufacturer based in Nagoya, Japan. In 1996, it abbreviated its name to "日本車両" Nippon Sharyō. Its shortest abbreviation is Nissha "日車".
