Brian Keaney
Brian Keaney (born 1954) is a British author. He is an author of mainly young adult fiction, who currently resides in London where he continues work as an author. Early life and career Brian Keaney was born in Walthamstow, Essex, to Irish Catholic parents. He reported that he learned about narrative by listening to his mother who was a natural storyteller. He attended a Catholic primary school in London which was run by nuns and a secondary school run by Jesuits. He did not enjoy his schooldays and reported that some teachers at his secondary school were overly fond of administering corporal punishment. His favorite academic subject was English, although he also had an interest in History and Latin, particularly liking Latin poetry. Keaney eventually pursued a career as an English teacher. Conal Keaney
Conal Keaney (born 24 September 1982) is an Irish Gaelic football, footballer and Hurling, hurler who played for Dublin GAA, Dublin and Ballyboden St Enda's GAA, Ballyboden St Enda's. He was educated in Terenure College. Football career He was part of the Dublin GAA, Dublin side that won the All-Ireland Under-21 Football Championship in 2003. He made his senior debut for Dublin GAA, Dublin Football during the 2005 National Football League (Gaelic football), NFL campaign. Keaney was announced in the International Rules team to play in Australia but had to opt out due to an ankle injury. Frank Keaney
Frank William "Menty" Keaney (June 5, 1886 – October 10, 1967) was an American football, basketball, and baseball coach and college athletics administrator. As a college men's basketball coach, he was known as the architect of modern "run-and-shoot" basketball and the inventor of the fast break. Keaney was a native of Boston, Massachusetts, and attended Cambridge Latin School, graduating in 1906. He graduated from Bates College, where he played several sports, in 1911. He was the head football coach at Everett High School in Massachusetts from 1917 to 1919. He coached at Rhode Island State College (now the University of Rhode Island) from 1920 to 1948 and taught a style of basketball using a fast-breaking offense and a full-court defense. In his 28 years at Rhode Island, Keaney's basketball Rams won eight conference championships and had only one losing season. Luke Keaney
Luke Keaney (born 1992) is an Irish former Gaelic footballer who played for Four Masters and was involved with the Donegal county team for ten years. He is from Donegal Town. Keaney played in the 2013 Dr McKenna Cup. He made his league debut against Dublin in Ballybofey in the final game of the 2013 National Football League. He studied at and played for UCD. He also played in the under-21 team that lost to Cavan in the 2013 Ulster final. He was part of the team that won the 2014 Ulster Senior Football Championship and then reached the 2014 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final, but was an unused substitute in that game. He was still playing for Four Masters in 2016, a year in which he helped his club to a 2–17 to 0–4 win with a goal and a point which he scored from a distance of 50 metres. Paul Keaney
Brother Paul Francis Keaney, MBE, ISO (5 October 1888 – 26 February 1954) was an Irish-born Australian Catholic educator. He was accused of abusing the children under his care. Biography Keaney was born on 5 October 1888, at Corralskin, Kiltyclogher, County Leitrim, Ireland, son of Terance Keaney, farmer, and his wife Mary, née McGowan. In 1911 he migrated to Australia and in 1916 he became a Christian Brother. In 1924 he became headmaster at Clontarf Orphanage, and he later taught at Christian Brothers College, Perth, and Christian Brothers College, Fremantle. In later life he supervised the building and running of purported child care establishments which were more akin to labour camps and paedophile rings at Tardun and Bindoon, using children forcibly deported from the UK and Malta.
