Kaçanik
Kaçanik ( sq-definite, Kaçaniku) or Kačanik ( sr-Cyrl, Качаник, ), is a List of cities in Kosovo, town and Municipalities of Kosovo, municipality located in the District of Ferizaj, Ferizaj District of southern Kosovo. According to the 2024 census, the town of Kaçanik has approximately 10,000, while the municipality has 27,742 inhabitants. District Of Ferizaj
The District of Ferizaj (; ) is one of the seven districts of Kosovo. Ferizaj is the seat of the district. According to the 2024 census, the total population of the district is 180,897. Municipalities The district of Ferizaj consists of five municipalities and 126 settlements. The city of Ferizaj was inhabited during the prehistoric era by the Starčevo culture, Vinča culture and Baden cultures. During the Ottoman period, Ferizaj was a trading center on the route between Belgrade and Thessaloniki. The Lepenac (; ; , ) is a river in southern Kosovo and northern North Macedonia, a long left tributary to the Vardar river. Course Kosovo The Lepenac springs out on the Oshlak mountain, east of the city of Prizren, at an altitude of . It flows eastward, into the region of Sirinićka župa, between the Žar mountain from the north and alongside the northern slopes of the Šar Mountains from the south. Llanishta Fortress
Llanishta Fortress () is a fortress in Kosovo. Overview In an elevated region approximately 1 kilometer to the south of Kaçanik and at an altitude of 684 meters above sea level, lies the remains of a fort. This ancient structure is characterized by a wall that is roughly thick and stands at a relative height of (still preserved). A municipality (; ) is the basic administrative division in Kosovo and constitutes the only level of power in local governance. Koca Sinan Pasha (, "Sinan the Great", ; c. 1506 – 3 April 1596) was an Albanian-born Ottoman Grand Vizier, military figure, and statesman. From 1580 until his death he served five times as Grand Vizier.
