Kazuto Kotaka
is a racing driver from Japan who currently competes in Super Formula, and Super GT. Career Kotaka made his debut in formula racing in 2015, racing for TOM'S from the second race weekend in the F4 Japanese Championship. He regularly finished in the top 10, with a fourth place finish at the Suzuka International Racing Course as his best result. He finished sixth in the championship with 50 points. In 2016, Kotaka remained active in Japanese Formula 4 with TOM'S. He won two races at Fuji Speedway and another at Sportsland SUGO. He later took another podium finish at Fuji, but achieved erratic results for the remainder of the season. He finished fifth overall with 113 points. In 2017, Kotaka did not race, but in 2018 he returned to Japanese Formula 4 at TOM's. He missed the first race weekend, but nevertheless he won two races at Fuji and was on the podium in seven other races. 2019 Japanese Formula 3 Championship
The Japanese Formula 3 Championship is the 41st Japanese Formula 3 Championship season. In August 2019, Japan Race Promotion, the series promoter, surrendered the right to organise a Japanese Formula 3 championship at the end of the season by choosing to deviate from the Formula Regional class and go to a Euroformula Open Championship-based formula, which will require the renaming of the series as Super Formula Lights from 2020 season onwards. The FIA responded on 26 December 2020 by awarding the rights to organise a Formula Regional championship (as it will be renamed) to rival promoter K2, which promotes the F4 Japanese Championship. The 2016 F4 Japanese Championship season was the second season of the F4 Japanese Championship. It began on 9 April in Okayama International Circuit, Okayama and finished on 13 November on Twin Ring Motegi after fourteen races held across six rounds. is a Japanese professional racing driver who competes in the FIA World Endurance Championship for Toyota Gazoo Racing (GR) and in the Super Formula Championship for KCMG . The 2021 Super Formula Lights Championship was the second Super Formula Lights Championship season, after the Japanese Formula 3 Championship was rebranded following the end of the 2019 season. It featured drivers competing in Formula 3 cars with Dallara 320 chassis and with engines made by three different manufacturers, a similar regulation format to the Euroformula Open Championship.
