Kazmi
Kazemi, Kazimi, Kazmi, or al-Kadhimi (; Persian: کاظمی) is a surname found most commonly in Iran, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India. The surname is conventionally used by people who trace their patrilineal descent from Imam Musa al-Kazim, a Sayyid (descendant of Muhammad). Kazmi people are said to descend from Muhammad through his daughter Fatima. Musa al-Kadhim is revered as the seventh successor of Muhammad in Shia Islam i.e., he is the seventh Imam in the Hadith of the twelve successors. The terms Musavi and Kazmi can be used interchangeably (since both have been derived from Imam Musa al-Kazim). Nasir Kazmi
Nasir Raza Kazmi ( was an Urdu poet from Pakistan. Kazmi was born on 8 December 1925 at Ambala, Punjab, Presidencies and provinces of British India, British India. Kazmi used simple words in his poetry, including "Chand", "Raat", "Baarish", "Mausam", "Yaad", "Tanhai", "Darya" and gave them life by his style of poetry. He was known for using ''chhotee beher'' or short verses in his poetry. His poetry continues to be used on Pakistan Television (Pakistan Television Corporation, PTV) shows as well as in India in Bollywood films. Early life and career Kazmi emigrated from Ambala, India to Lahore, Pakistan(resided in Krishan Nagar / Islampura) in August 1947. Rahat Kazmi () is a Pakistani actor, screenwriter, TV news presenter anchorman, and an academician. He has worked in several TV serials for PTV such as in 1967 with ''Mayaar'', rose to prominence in 1974 with ''Qurbatain aur Faaslay'' (an adaptation of Turgenev's 1862 novel '' Fathers and Sons'') and also starred in 1976 with Pakistan's first coloured and classical serial '' Parchaiyan''. Syed Ahmad Saeed Kazmi (13 March 1913 – 4 June 1986, ) was a Pakistani Islamic scholar and Sufi who belonged to the Barelvi movement of Sunni Islam. He migrated to Multan in 1935 from Amroha. ''al-Musawi'' () is an Islamic title indicating a person descended from Musa al-Kazim, the seventh of the Twelve Shi'a Imams. ''Sayyid'' is an honorific title of Hasanid and Husaynid lineage, recognized as descendants of the Islamic prophet Muhammad through his daughter Fatima and Ali's sons Hasan ibn Ali, Hasan and Husayn ibn Ali, Husayn. Shah Abdul Latif Kazmi
Peer Syed Abdul Latif Kazmi Qadri, often referred to as Barī Imām or Barī Sarkār (1617 – 1705), was a 17th-century Punjabi Muslim Sufi ascetic. He is venerated as the patron saint of Islamabad, Pakistan. Born in Karsal, Chakwal District, he is one of the most prominent Sufis of the Qadiriyya order of the Islamic spirituality and within this order is addressed as the Master (Murshid) of the Hazrat Ishaans of the Naqshbandiyya sub branch of the Qadiriyya of whom the patron saint is Sayyid Mir Jan. Ali Kazimi (born 1961) is an Indo-Canadian filmmaker, media artist and writer. Early life and education Born and raised in India, Kazimi attended St. Columba's School and graduated from St. Stephen's College, Delhi University in 1982. Sayed Mustafa Kazemi (, 1959 – November 6, 2007) from Parwan was a prominent Afghan politician. He was one of the leaders and the spokesman for the opposition movement known as the United National Front. He was a former minister of commerce in the Afghan Transitional Government. Zahra Kazemi
Zahra "Ziba" Kazemi-Ahmadabadi (; 1948 – 11 July 2003) was an Iranian-Canadian freelance photojournalist. She gained notoriety for her arrest in Iran and the circumstances in which she was held by Iranian authorities, in whose custody she was killed. Kazemi's autopsy report revealed that she had been raped and tortured by Iranian officials while she was at Evin Prison, located within the capital city of Tehran.
