Kayseri Şekerspor
Kayseri Şekerspor is a football club located in Kayseri, Turkey. History Kayseri Şekerspor was founded in 1956. The club has its origins in the Turkish Sugar Factories Inc. One of the factories is in Kayseri, producing sugar from sugar beet. The Turkey Sugar Factories logo is also incorporated in the club's logo. Kayseri Şekerspor promoted to the TFF Third League after the 2011–12 season. After three seasons the club relegated to the Turkish Regional Amateur League, finishing as 17th in the 3rd group of the TFF Third League. Kayseri Province
The Kayseri Province ( tr, ) is situated in central Turkey. The population is 1,434,357 of which around 1,175,876 live in the city of Kayseri. It covers an area of 16,917 km2 and it borders with Sivas, Adana, Niğde, Kahramanmaraş, Yozgat and Nevşehir provinces. The province is an area that has been linked with mythological stories as well as important figures in Turkish history. It is located in Anatolia, and surrounded by the Mount Erciyes, the Mount Hasan and the Mount Ali. The Ali mountain is named like that in honor of Ali Baba, who is said to have lived in the area. Locals claim that Kayseri is the most peaceful city in the world. Sugar Industry
The sugar industry subsumes the production, processing and marketing of sugars (mostly sucrose and fructose). Globally, most sugar is extracted from sugar cane (~80% predominantly in the tropics) and sugar beet (~ 20%, mostly in temperate climate, like in the U.S. or Europe). TFF 3. Lig (Turkish Football Federation Third League) is the fourth level in the Turkish football league system. Turkish Regional Amateur League
The Turkish Regional Amateur League ( tr, Bölgesel Amatör Ligi) is the fifth tier of the Turkish football league system. The tier comprises a number (usually 11-13, varies by season) of groups across Turkey, each consisting of teams grouped according to the regions in which they are based. Every season, 9 teams are promoted to the TFF Third League while the bottom two teams of each group are relegated to the Super Amateur Leagues of their respective provinces. League status Turkish Regional Amateur League contains 149 teams which participate in eleven groups. 1 of these groups contains 12 teams, 3 of these groups contain 13 teams and the remaining 7 groups contain 14 teams.
