The Kadir Has Stadium ( tr, Kadir Has Stadyumu), also referred to as RHG Enertürk Enerji Stadium for sponsorship reasons, is a multi-purpose stadium in Kayseri, Turkey. It is part of complex of sports venues that are on the outskirts of the city, as part of the Atatürk Sports Complex. It effectively replaces the ageing Kayseri Atatürk Stadium, which has been in use since the early 1960s. It was opened with the Kayserispor match against Fenerbahçe on 8 March 2009. It is primary used for football matches and hosts the homes matches of Kayserispor and Kayseri Erciyesspor. Kayseri (; el, Καισάρεια) is a large industrialised city in Central Anatolia, Turkey, and the capital of Kayseri province. The Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality area is composed of five districts: the two central districts of Kocasinan and Melikgazi, and since 2004, also outlying Hacılar, İncesu and Talas. The 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup was the nineteenth edition of the FIFA U-20 World Cup, since its inception in 1977 as the FIFA World Youth Championship. It ran from 21 June to 13 July 2013. At the FIFA Executive Meeting in Zürich on 3 March 2011, Turkey beat other bids to host the series games, from host competition by the United Arab Emirates and Uzbekistan. Kayseray
Kayseray () is a light rail street-tram system operating in the city of Kayseri in Turkey. The tracks and station structures were completed and the line opened in 2009. History The project began in January 2006, with a completion target of 1,065 days set. The initial proposal was a reaction to the growing traffic congestion in the central parts of the city, and to reduce this, a mass-transit tram link was planned to cut right across the area, allowing transportation of locals from one part of the region to the other. When opened the initial length of the track was some 17 km, with a total of 28 stations (averaging a distance of 65m/each). Total journey time between each end of the line was expected to be in the region of 45 minutes. 22 trams were planned to be ordered initially. Kayseri Erciyesspor was a Turkish sports club based in Kayseri. History In 1965, Orhan Şefik Apak, then president of the Turkish Football Federation, asked cities in Turkey to combine their amateur football clubs into one singular club that would represent their communities. These new clubs would compete in the newly created 2.Lig (Second Division). After several meetings, representatives of the city merged Erciyesspor, Sanayispor, and Ortaanadoluspor to form Kayserispor. The club submitted the required paperwork and were officially founded as Kayserispor on 1 July 1966. They began competing in the 1966–67 2.Lig. Erdoğan Gürhan was the first manager, signing a contract worth 1,500 TL. In their first season, the club competed in the Beyaz Grup (White Group).
