Kay McGrath
Kay McGrath is an Australian former journalist, most notably being the former weekend presenter on ''Seven News Brisbane''. She formerly presented the bulletin with Rod Young on weekends between 2013 and 2016, and on weeknights between 2002 and 2012, during which, after years of steady progress, the bulletin overtook the rival ''Nine News Queensland'' as the top-rating news service in Brisbane. Sunshine Coast, Queensland
The Sunshine Coast is a peri-urban region in South East Queensland, Australia. It is the district defined in 1967 as "the area contained in the Shires of Landsborough, Maroochy and Noosa, but excluding Bribie Island". Located north of the centre of Brisbane in South East Queensland, on the Coral Sea coastline, its urban area spans approximately of coastline and hinterland from Pelican Waters to Tewantin. Bill McDonald (born 1967) is an Australian journalist and news presenter. Career Previously McDonald had been a sports presenter but was promoted to news presenter when Geoff Mullins left ''Ten News''. He was also a sports presenter on ''Seven News''. In the summer of January 2010, McDonald presented '' Ten Early News'', ''Ten Morning News'' and ''Ten Weekend News'' from Sydney. In 2011, McDonald continued to present '' 10 News First Queensland'' and also continued to be the Queensland AFL ground commentator for Ten's national AFL coverage, mainly for matches involving the Brisbane Lions. Frank Warrick
Francis Michael Warrick (1944 – 11 May 2021) was an Australian journalist and newsreader and TV game show host. Biography Warrick began his career in radio as a disc jockey in Toowoomba in 1963 with AM radio station 4GR, and in 1965 he was the first voice heard on the new Gold Coast AM radio station 4GG. Warrick joined Seven Brisbane as a newsreader in 1976 and served in the position until his retirement in 2001, including a role as co-presenter of 13 years opposite Kay McGrath. In 1991, prison escapee Harold John McSweeney surrendered to Warrick and a television helicopter crew on the Queensland Darling Downs, purportedly to avoid being shot by the Queensland Police. Severe Tropical Cyclone Larry was a tropical cyclone that made landfall in Australia during the 2005–06 Southern Hemisphere tropical cyclone season. Larry originated as a low pressure system over the eastern Coral Sea on 16 March 2006, and was monitored by the Australian Bureau of Meteorology in Brisbane, Australia. The low-pressure area organized into a tropical cyclone two days later and quickly strengthened into a Category 4 storm on the Australian tropical cyclone scale. Larry made landfall in Far North Queensland close to Innisfail, on 20 March 2006, as a Category 5 tropical cyclone on the Australian scale, with wind gusts reaching , before dissipating over land several days later. The Commission of Inquiry into Possible Illegal Activities and Associated Police Misconduct (the Fitzgerald Inquiry; 1987–1989) into Queensland Police corruption was a judicial inquiry presided over by Tony Fitzgerald QC.
