Kawal, Uttar Pradesh
Kawal is a village in the Muzaffarnagar district of western Uttar Pradesh in northern India. It lies between two rivers - the Ganges (Ganga) in the East and Yamuna in the West. It also lies between two branches of the Ganges Canal, an old canal of the River Ganges. History In 2013, a dispute between Hindus and Muslims in Kawal triggered the 2013 Muzaffarnagar riots. On 7 September 2013, over 150,000 people from the neighbouring states of Haryana and Delhi gathered in Kawal village for a "Jat Mahapanchayat", many of them carrying weapons. There had been allegations of a Muslim man harassing a Hindu girl followed by the murder of two young Jat men and a Muslim youth. The gathering was called to show solidarity of Hindu groups against Muslims. Kawal Wildlife Sanctuary
Kawal Tiger Reserve is a nature preserve located at Jannaram mandal of Mancherial District (Old Adilabad district) in the Telangana state of India. The government of India declared Kawal Wildlife Sanctuary to be a Tiger Reserve in 2012. The reserve is the oldest sanctuary in the northern Telangana region of the state. It is well known for its abundant flora and fauna. This sanctuary is catchment for the rivers Godavari and Kadam, which flow towards the south of the sanctuary. History The KWS was established in 1965 and later declared as a Protected Area (PA) in 1999 under the WPA, 1972. Tiger reserve status It was listed as a tiger reserve in April 2012. Due to this status, it was developed as a tiger habitat with the release of 150 cheetals as a prey population. To reduce poaching, new checkposts have been created. Kawal Rhode is an English biomedical engineer. He is a full professor of biomedical engineering and the head of education at the School of Biomedical Engineering and Imaging Sciences at King's College London (KCL), England, United Kingdom. Biography Rhode completed his BSc degree at the Guy's & St. Thomas' Hospitals Medical School, and PhD at the University College London. He then started working at KCL in 2001 as a post-doctoral scientist in the area of image-guided interventions. He worked on the image registration methods to register cardiac MRI and X-ray fluoroscopy data. Brandon Silvestry (born September 6, 1979) is an American professional wrestler of Italian and Puerto Rican descent, better known by his ring name Low Ki. He is known for his time with Impact Wrestling, Ring of Honor and Major League Wrestling as Low Ki and Senshi and with WWE as Kaval.
