Katina (born 1975) is a female orca (killer whale) who lives in SeaWorld Orlando in Orlando, Florida, Florida. She was captured off Iceland at approximately three years of age on October 26, 1978. She is the most successful breeding female Captive orca, orca in captivity. Transfers Upon her capture, Katina was purchased by Marineland of Canada, Marineland in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, where she was first named Kandu 6. She was shipped to the facility soon after. However, she did not spend much time there. Sometime between April and June 1979, Katina was bought by SeaWorld. She was sent to SeaWorld San Diego, their park in San Diego. In 1982, Katina was moved to the SeaWorld Ohio, park in Ohio with another female named Kasatka, with whom she was captured in 1978. For two years, the two would perform in the Ohio park during the summer months and then be moved back to San Diego for the winter. Katina Papa ( el, Κατίνα Παπά; 1903–1959) was a Greek writer. She became well known for her poetry and novels. Life She was born in the village of Janicat in the Ottoman Empire, today part of the Finiq municipality in southern Albania. Her family had to find refuge in the nearby island of Corfu because her father was accused by the local Ottoman authorities of participating in a local revolt. Katina Papa studied at the University of Athens and then became a teacher. Her writing is associated with her experiences as a teacher. Her first book ''Stin sikaminia apo kato'' (Under the Mulberry Tree) received the Academy of Athens award. Papa's main characters are mainly girls, such as Tasoula (in a novel with the same title), a servant girl from Corfu, where she dreams to live with her godfather in Athens. Katina Paxinou ( gr, Κατίνα Παξινού; 17 December 1900– 22 February 1973) was a Greek film and stage actress. She started her stage career in Greece in 1928 and was one of the founding members of the National Theatre of Greece in 1932. The outbreak of World War II found her in the United Kingdom and she later moved to the United States, where she made her film debut in ''For Whom the Bell Tolls'' (1943) and won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress and the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress. She appeared in a few more Hollywood films, before returning to Greece in the early 1950s. She became a naturalized citizen of the United States in 1951. Katina Schubert (born 28 December 1961) is a German politician who is serving as leader of the Berlin branch of The Left and member of the Abgeordnetenhaus of Berlin since 2016. Since 2021, she has also been one of six deputy federal leaders of The Left. Education and career Schubert studied political science, sociology and economics at the University of Bonn from 1981 to 1989, graduating with a master's degree.
