Katie Kubert
Katie Kubert is an American comic book editor. She is known for her work at DC Comics, where she supervised the reinvention of the ''Batgirl'' comics. Personal life Kubert graduated from Boston University in 2006 with a Bachelors of Science in Film/Cinema/Video Studies and Art History. Family Kubert is the granddaughter of comic book artist Joe Kubert, as well as the niece of comic book artists Adam Kubert and Andy Kubert. Career In 2011, Kubert began her career at DC Comics as a Pre-Press Coordinator. From there, she was promoted to an assistant editor, an associate editor, and ultimately an editor. Throughout her time at DC, she spent a significant portion of it supervising the reinvention of the ''Batgirl'' comics. As an editor, she also developed the relaunch of several comics that include ''Harley Quinn'', ''Grayson'', and Batman Eternal, ''Batman Eterna''l. A comic book, also called comicbook, comic magazine or (in the United Kingdom and Ireland) simply comic, is a publication that consists of comics art in the form of sequential juxtaposed panel (comics), panels that represent individual scenes. Panels are often accompanied by descriptive prose and written narrative, usually, dialogue contained in word balloons emblematic of the comics art form. "Comic Cuts" was a British comic published from 1890 to 1953. It was preceded by "Ally Sloper's Half Holiday" (1884) which is notable for its use of sequential cartoons to unfold narrative. ''A-Force'' is a comic book series published by Marvel Comics that debuted in May 2015 as a part of Marvel's "Secret Wars" crossover storyline. The series, created by writers G. Willow Wilson and Marguerite Bennett and artist Jorge Molina, features Marvel's first all-female team of Avengers. The team first appeared as part of an alternate universe during "Secret Wars" but later reemerged in Marvel's primary continuity. Gamera
is a fictional monster, or '' kaiju'', originating from a series of Japanese films. Debuting in the 1965 film ''Gamera, the Giant Monster'', the character and the first film were intended to compete with the success of Toho's ''Godzilla'' film series. Since then, Gamera has become a Japanese icon in his own right, appearing in a total of 12 films produced by Daiei Film and later Kadokawa Daiei Studio, and various media. Gamera is depicted as a giant, fire-breathing, prehistoric turtle monster, mutated by exposure to nuclear weapons.
