Kathir
Kathir is an Indian film director, producer, and screenwriter who works predominantly in Tamil cinema. Early life Kathir was born in kalkarai, a small village in the Radhapuram Taluk of Tirunelveli District, state of Tamil Nadu, India. Kathir grew up in a middle-class family as the only son along with his three sisters. His father Subhash was a farmer and mother Isakiammal assisted him in his farming. Kathir had his elementary schooling in kalkarai elementary school. He finished his 5th standard there and joined St. Teresa's school in Vadakangulam. He completed his school studies here. Kathir got into the College of Fine arts and Crafts, Chennai. He did a five-year course in Fine arts and graduated with a Diploma in Fine Arts. Kadhal Desam
''Kadhal Desam'' () is a 1996 Indian Tamil-language action romance film written and directed by Kathir and produced by K. T. Kunjumon. The film starred Vineeth and debutant Abbas in the main leads, along with actress Tabu (in her Tamil debut) while S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, Vadivelu, Chinni Jayanth and Srividya are featured in other pivotal characters. K. V. Anand was the cinematographer for the project and A. R. Rahman composed the film's soundtrack and score. The film opened on 23 August 1996 to positive reviews from critics and became a box office success. Kadhalar Dhinam
''Kadhalar Dhinam'' () is a 1999 Indian Tamil-language romance film written and directed by Kathir. It is based on a love relationship which begins through an internet chatroom and takes a turn after the protagonist has second thoughts about the relationship after finding out his lover's true identity. The film stars newcomer Kunal and Sonali Bendre (her Tamil debut), while Nassar, Manivannan, Goundamani and Chinni Jayanth appeared in supporting roles. The film produced by A. M. Rathnam, had music composed by A. R. Rahman and cinematography by P. C. Sriram. The film was released on 9 July 1999, while a partially reshot dubbed Hindi version, ''Dil Hi Dil Mein'' was released on 21 April 2000. ''Idhayam'' (; ) is a 1991 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by Kathir in his directorial debut. It stars Murali and Heera Rajagopal while Chinni Jayanth, Janagaraj, Manorama, and Vijayakumar play supporting roles. The music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja. The film was released on 6 September 1991. Plot Raja, an introverted medical student, falls in love with his fellow college mate Geetha but does not express his love to her. Srikanth (born 28 February 1979) is an Indian actor known for his works predominantly in Tamil and Telugu films. He is credited as Sriram in Telugu films. He debuted in K. Balachander's tele serial ''Jannal - Marabu Kavithaigal'' (1999). His film debut was in the romantic film ''Roja Kootam'' (2002) and went on to star in more such films including ''April Maadhathil'' (2002), ''Parthiban Kanavu'' (2003) and ''Okariki Okaru'' (2003).
