Katharine Isabella Williams
Katharine Isabella Williams (c. 1848 - 16 January 1917) was a British chemist who became a student, aged 29, at University College, Bristol, University College Bristol. She was known for her collaboration in the 1880s with Nobel Prize, Nobel prize winning Scottish chemist, William Ramsay and was also one of the signatories of the 1904 petition to the Chemical Society, 1904 petition for the admission of women to the Chemical Society. Life Katharine Williams was born at Llanvapley in Monmouthshire, daughter of Thomas Williams (Dean of Llandaff), Thomas Williams, later Dean of Llandaff. She was educated at King Edward VI High School for Girls, Birmingham. Katherine Mary Isabel "Kath" Williams, ''née'' Chambers and formerly Clarey (23 April 1895 – 17 April 1975) was an Australian trade unionist and campaigner for equal pay. She was born at Lara to law clerk Edward Crombie Chambers and Jane Miriam, ''née'' Harding. She was educated at Melbourne University High School before graduating as a teacher from the Melbourne College of Domestic Economy in 1915. She married Percy Clarey, a trade union leader and later a prominent federal MP, on 31 March 1917 at Box Hill. Husband and wife were both active in the Australian Labor Party, with Kath secretary of the Caulfield branch and president of the Women's Organising Committee in addition to holding membership of the state executive. She nominated for the seat of Caulfield at the 1935 election, but withdrew prior to the election. Kathryn Williams (born 15 February 1974, Liverpool, England) is an English singer-songwriter who to date has released 14 studio albums, written and arranged for a multitude of artists, and was nominated for the 2000 Mercury Music Prize. Williams released her first album, '' Dog Leap Stairs'', on her own Caw Records label in 1999 with a budget of £80. The follow-up, '' Little Black Numbers'', garnered a Mercury Prize nomination in 2000, bringing her to the attention of a wider public. Kathryn Harby-Williams (born 16 July 1969) is an Australian netball player and television presenter. She captained the Australian netball team. Harby-Williams currently works with Radio Sport New Zealand and is a Sky TV commentator for Sky Sport 1's live netball coverage of the ANZ Championship and international tests, along with former Silver Ferns ] and Anna Stanley, and with co-Australian national representative Natalie Avellino; she also co-hosts the weekly netball show ''On Court'' with Stanley. Katherine Dienes also known as Katherine Dienes-Williams (born in Wellington, 10 January 1970) is a New Zealand-born organist, conductor and composer. She is currently Organist and Master of the Choristers at Guildford Cathedral and is the first woman to hold the most senior musical post in a Church of England cathedral. Her husband is Patrick Williams, librarian of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and they have a daughter, Hannah, who sang as a chorister at Guildford Cathedral .
