Kateryna Bondarenko
Kateryna Volodymyrivna Volodko (née Bondarenko; uk, Катерина Володимирівна Бондаренко; born 8 August 1986) is a tennis player from Ukraine. She was the doubles champion in 2008 at the Australian Open, partnering her sister Alona Bondarenko. Kateryna is the younger sister of professional tennis players Valeria and Alona. She plays right-handed and turned pro in 2000. Her career-high rankings in singles and doubles are world No. 29 and No. 9, respectively. Her best Grand Slam performance in singles was reaching the quarterfinals at the 2009 US Open. Kateryna Mykhaylivna Yushchenko ( uk, Катерина Михайлівна Ющенко, née Chumachenko (Чумаченко); September 1, 1961 in Chicago) was the First Lady of Ukraine from 2005 to 2010. She is married to former Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko. Parents Yushchenko's father, Mykhailo Chumachenko, was born in the village of Zaitsivka, Kharkiv Oblast, in 1917, to a large family of farmers. He was one of only a few members of his large family to survive the Holodomor, Soviet Famine of 1932–1933. Chumachenko studied electrical engineering in Lysychansk, Luhansk Oblast. Ekaterina Aleksandrovna Lagno (russian: Екатерина Александровна Лагно, ; born 27 December 1989) is a Russian (formerly Ukrainian) chess grandmaster. A chess prodigy, she earned the title Woman Grandmaster (WGM) at the age of 12 years, four months and two days. In 2007, she was awarded the grandmaster title. She is a twice European Women's Champion and won two team gold medals at the Women's Chess Olympiad, in 2006 and 2014, playing for Ukraine and Russia respectively. Kateryna Viktorivna Stupnytska (11 April 1996 – 8 March 2022) was a sergeant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. She was posthumously honoured with the title Hero of Ukraine with the award of the Order of the Golden Star during the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. Biography Kateryna Stupnytska was born in April 1996 in Zaliznytsia village, Rivne Oblast. She graduated from Dubno Medical College. Her first job was at an urgent care centre in Danychiv village, Rivne Oblast. Stupnytska then joined the military. Beginning in 2016, she served as a sanitary instructor for the 3rd Mechanised Battalion dispensary in the military unit in Volodymyr, Volyn Oblast. Repeatedly, with being on short furlough, she was at the forefront in Joint Forces Operation. In September 2021 she prolonged her military contract for another year. Go_A ( uk, Ґоу_Ей) is a Ukrainian electro-folk band first formed in 2012 who were set to represent Ukraine in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam, Netherlands, with the song " Solovey". Following the cancellation of the 2020 contest due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the band represented the country in 2021, this time with " Shum", with which they placed fifth in the final. History The idea to form a band that would combine modern electronic music with ethnic motifs first came to Taras Shevchenko in 2011, but the first attempts to work with actual musicians took place in 2012.
