Kate Williamson
Robina Jane Sparks, also known as Kate Williamson (September 19, 1931 – December 6, 2013) was an American actress, whose career spanned nearly three decades. Biography Williamson was born as Robina Jane Sparks in 1931, the daughter of actress/singer Nydia Westman and writer/producer Salathiel Robert Sparks. She began her acting career in 1977. Most of Williamson's credits were television appearances. She was best known for her roles on ''Ellen'' (1995), ''Disclosure'' (1994), and '' Dahmer'' (2002). Marriage and Death She married character actor Al Ruscio in June 1954, and was known to loved ones as "Jane Kate Ruscio". The couple had four children and remained together until Al Ruscio's death in November 2013. Ellenville, New York
Ellenville is a village within the town of Wawarsing, Ulster County, New York, United States. Its population was 4,135 at the 2010 census. Geography The village of Ellenville is about 90 miles northwest of New York City and 90 miles southwest of Albany. The village is located at the junction of routes NY 52 and U.S. Route 209, and is bisected by the recently designated Shawangunk Scenic Byway. Ellenville lies in the Rondout Valley, at the eastern base of the Catskill Mountains, and the western base of the Shawangunk Ridge, which is listed by the Nature Conservancy as one of the "75 Last Great Places on Earth." The north-flowing Sandburg Creek and east-flowing Beer Kill intersect in Ellenville near the current site of the Ellenville Central School to become the Rondout Creek, which flows north to join the Hudson River near Kingston. Encino (Spanish for "oak") is a neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles, California. History In 1769, the Spanish Portolá expedition, first Europeans to see inland areas of California, traveled north through Sepulveda Pass into the San Fernando Valley on August 5 and stayed two nights at a native village near what is now Los Encinos State Historic Park. Fray Juan Crespi, a Franciscan missionary traveling with the expedition, named the valley "El Valle de Santa Catalina de Bolonia de Los Encinos" (The Valley of St. Catherine of Bologna of the Holm Oaks). All of Crespi's name was later dropped except "Encino". Rancho Los Encinos (''Ranch of Holm Oaks'') was established in 1845 when a large parcel of former Mission San Fernando land was granted to three Mission Indians by governor Pio Pico. Al Ruscio
Al Ruscio (June 2, 1924 – November 12, 2013) was an American character actor who appeared in numerous television shows and films. Early life Ruscio was born in Salem, Massachusetts on June 2, 1924. He graduated from Salem High School, after graduating college he moved to New York City. During World War II, Ruscio served in the United States Army Air Corps. Career Ruscio trained for two years at The Neighborhood Playhouse School for the Theater. He played many roles in New York and in summer stock, including co-starring with Steve McQueen and Kim Stanley among others. His first work in live television came in New York City. He moved to Los Angeles in 1958. His first role there was Tony in ''Al Capone'' with Rod Steiger (1958). Nydia Eileen Westman (February 19, 1902 – May 23, 1970) was an American actress and singer of stage, screen, and television. Early years Westman's parents, Theodore and Lily (Wren) Westman were active in vaudeville in her native New York City. In addition to their working together on stage, her mother was a writer and her father was a composer. She attended the Professional Children's School. Until 1921, she performed on stage only with her family. Her sisters, Lolita and Neville, were actresses, and her brother, Theodore, was an actor and playwright. Career Westman's career ranged from episodic appearances on TV series such as ''That Girl'' and ''Dragnet (series), Dragnet'' and uncredited bit roles in movies to appearances in groundbreaking films such as ''Craig's Wife'', which starred Rosalind Russell, and the first film version of ''Little Women''. ''Ellen'' is an American television sitcom that aired on ABC from March 29, 1994, to July 22, 1998, consisting of 109 episodes. The title role is Ellen Morgan, a neurotic bookstore owner in her thirties, played by stand-up comedian Ellen DeGeneres. The title of the series was ''These Friends of Mine'' for the first season, but it was subsequently changed to avoid confusion with the NBC series ''Friends'', which premiered in September 1994.
