Kate Robin
Kate Robin is an American playwright, television writer and producer, and screenwriter. She is currently the showrunner of '' One Mississippi'' created by and starring Tig Notaro on Amazon. Career Robin's recent theater productions include: ''I See You'' (the Flea), ''What They Have'' (South Coast Rep), ''Anon.'' (The Atlantic Theater Company), ''Intrigue with Faye'' (MCC Theater), ''The Light Outside'' (The Flea Theater), and ''Swimming in March'' ( Market Theatre), which won the IRNE Award for Best Play of 2001. In 2003, Robin received the Princess Grace Award for playwriting and is an alumna for New Dramatists. Robin joined the writing staff of '' Six Feet Under'' as the show's first female writer in 2001. In 2002, Robin was appointed Executive Story Editor and in 2003 became a producer. For the fifth and final season Robin was credited as a supervising producer. ''One Mississippi'' is a semi-autobiographical American comedy television series created by comedian Tig Notaro and Diablo Cody. The pilot episode, directed by Nicole Holofcener, aired on Amazon Prime Video on November 5, 2015, and was picked up for a full series after positive feedback from audiences. ''One Mississippi'' premiered on September 9, 2016. On November 14, 2016, Amazon renewed the show for a second season, which was released on Amazon on September 8, 2017. On January 18, 2018, the series was canceled after two seasons which Amazon explained as "part of a move towards bigger, wider-audience series". The Plan (Six Feet Under)
"The Plan" is the third episode of the second season of the HBO series '' Six Feet Under''. The episode was written by Kate Robin and was directed by Rose Troche. It first aired on March 17, 2002. The episode features a parody of the program used by est and The Forum. Plot summary The episode begins with the death of Michael John Piper, whose wife is a psychic. As he dies, Mrs. Piper states that she can see a light emanating from above his head. Nate begins to experience muscular twitching and loss of verbal skills, which after some internet research David determines to be a condition known as AVM. Later, as Mrs. Piper is selecting a casket for the funeral assisted by David, she informs him that she is being advised by her late husband.
