Kate Richardson (cyclist)
Kate Richardson (born 12 September 2002) is a Scottish and British road bicycle racing, road and track cycling, track cyclist. Career A talented youth and junior athlete, Richardson won multiple national titles in her native Scotland in triathlon, athletics and cycling. She switched from triathlon in 2021 joining cycling road racing team Alba DRT. She won the 2022 Ras na mBan road stage race in Ireland, and double gold at the 2023 UEC European Track Championships (under-23 & junior), U23 & Junior European Championships (individual pursuit and team pursuit) in Anadia, Portugal. At the 2024 British Cycling National Track Championships she won her first two national titles, winning the British National Individual Pursuit Championships, Individual Pursuit and the British National Team Pursuit Championships, Team Pursuit. Anadia () is a municipality in Portugal. The population in 2011 was 29,150, in an area of 216.63 km². It had 26,915 eligible voters. The city of Anadia is part of Arcos e Mogofores parish. Scottish Cycling, legally the Scottish Cyclists' Union (SCU), is the governing body for cycle sport in Scotland and is part of British Cycling, the national governing body in Britain. Scottish Cycling is currently located in the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome, Glasgow. It covers road bicycle racing, track cycling, mountain bike racing, cyclo-cross, BMX racing and time trialing. Scottish Cycling introduced the MBLA award scheme (previously Scottish Mountain Bike Leader Award), qualification in the UK for leading organised groups on mountain biking rides. The Tour of Britain Women is a women's cycle stage race held in England and Wales, as part of the UCI Women's World Tour. Lincoln Grand Prix
The Rapha Lincoln Grand Prix (formerly the Witham-Valley Grand Prix) is a road bicycle race that starts and finishes in Lincoln. The 2021 version was 166 km long. The race is characterised by its ascent of Michaelgate, an iconic cobbled climb in the centre of Lincoln with a maximum gradient of 20%. The Lincoln GP has run since the summer of 1956, making it the oldest annual bike in the UK, that still runs today. The British National Team Pursuit Championships are held annually as part of the British National Track Championships organized by British Cycling. Prior to 1996, there were two separate team pursuit championship events for amateur and professional riders. A women's championship was later added, competing over a shorter 3 km distance with three riders, until 2013 when this was increased to 4 km with 4 riders as in the men's event. Road bicycle racing is the cycle sport discipline of road cycling, held primarily on Road surface, paved roads. Road racing is the most popular professional sport, professional form of bicycle racing, in terms of numbers of competitors, events and spectators.
