Kate Corbett
Kate Corbett (born in Holyrood, Newfoundland and Labrador) is a Canadian actress. Early years Corbett started acting at a young age in small town repertoire summer theatre. Once graduating high school, Corbett moved to Toronto, Ontario to go to theatre school at Ryerson University. After obtaining her degree from Ryerson she landed the lead role on Family Biz (Canadian/France co pro) for YTV. She went on to continue her training at the prestigious Canadian Film Centre's Acting Conservatory years later. Career Corbett's feature film credits include three Toronto International Film Festival film selections, ''The Steps'' (2015), ''Empire of Dirt'' (2013) and ''The Animal Project'' (2013); as well as the lead in Once There Was A Winter (2017). She has principal roles in the features ''Barn Wedding'' (2014) and ''How to Be Deadly'' (2014). Holyrood, Newfoundland And Labrador
Holyrood is a town on the Avalon Peninsula in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. It is in Division 1, on Conception Bay. It is approximately a 30 minute drive from the capital city of St. John's. During King William's War, the village was destroyed in the Avalon Peninsula Campaign. The town is famous for being at the bottom of the bay and having a large cross on the top of the predominant mountain "George Cove."Holyrood is also renowned for its squid fishery and caplin "rolling" which happens in late spring, early summer. "Rolling" refers to the mating of the caplin when they beach themselves and can be picked up by hand. It also hosts the popular "Squid Fest," several days of squid themed activities culminating in an outdoor festival of drinking and traditional music. InSecurity is a Canadian spy comedy television series that aired on CBC Television from 2011 to 2012. The series centres on a team of covert operatives working for the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), a fictional Canadian intelligence service. The series is set in Ottawa but filmed primarily in Regina, Saskatchewan. The initial season of 13 episodes premiered January 4, 2011. It was followed by a second season of 10 episodes before cancellation by CBC on April 19, 2012 due to budget cuts from the 2012 Canadian federal budget.
