Katarina Josipi
Katë Dulaj ( sr, Ката Дулај, ) (9 November 1923 – 29 April 1969), known by her artistic name Katarina Josipi-Kati, was a Yugoslav actress of Albanian ethnicity. She performed on stage, and in radio plays, film, and television. Early life Katarina was born on 9 November 1923, one of four children of Gjin Dulaj and Gjyste (Prekpalaj) Dulaj, Mark, Lazer, Kati and Pal. Her family came from Tropoja and settled close to Prizreni, then in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. Katarina Josipi began her education there, and continued it in Niš. Following the bombing of Niš during the Second World War in April 1941, Kati's father and family and many other people escaped from Niš; the Dulajs settled in Uroševac (Ferizaj). Bekim Fehmiu
Bekim Fehmiu (; ; 1 June 1936 – 15 June 2010) was a Yugoslavian theater and film actor of Albanian ethnicity. He was the first Eastern European actor to star in Hollywood during the Cold War. Biography Early life Fehmiu was born in Sarajevo, into an ethnic Albanian family originating from Gjakova, Kosovo. His father Ibrahim adopted his high-school nickname Fehmiu as a surname replacing the original Imer Halili. The family moved to Shkodër, Albania, where they spent three years, and in 1941 returned to Prizren where Bekim spent his childhood. He was part of the acting club at his high school in Prizren, and after graduation he became a member of County Popular Theatre in Prisina, the only professional Albanian language theatre in Yugoslavia. Kavajë ( , sq-definite, Kavaja) is a municipality centrally located in the Western Lowlands region of Albania, in Tirana County. Muharrem Qena
Muharrem Qena (22 June 1930 – 25 September 2006) was a Kosovo Albanian actor, director, writer and singer. He went to high school in Prishtina, and he completed film school in Belgrade. He is among the noted directors who staged their works at the National Theatre of Kosovo. He was born in Mitrovica, Kosovo (then Kingdom of Yugoslavia) in 1930 and was one of the founders of the theatrical scene in Kosovo and of Albanian light music. Nexhmije Pagarusha (; 7 May 1933 – 7 February 2020) was a Kosovo-Albanian singer and actress, often referred to as the queen of Kosovan music. Pagarusha gained acclaim as a recording artist in Kosova and neighbouring countries for her distinct soprano vocal range, which she displayed performing various Kosovan folk songs during her career, which spanned 36 years, from 1948, in her debut in Radio Prishtina, to 1984, in her final concert in Sarajevo.
