Katana (DC Comics)
Katana () is a superheroine appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. First appearing in 1983, Katana is a samurai warrior whose skill with a sword allows her to fight for justice as a superheroine. Her tragic backstory includes the death of her husband, Maseo, whose soul becomes trapped in her blade, the Soultaker. Katana has been part of various DC Comics superhero teams, including the Justice League and Birds of Prey, but is most commonly associated with the Outsiders, a team of heroes hand-picked by Batman to act as his personal black ops team, handling riskier missions. In the 2010s, DC began to feature the character much more extensively in media adaptations of its comic books, including a recurring role in the animated series '' Batman: The Brave and the Bold'' and then a starring role in the series '' Beware the Batman''. David Finch (comics)
David Finch is a comics artist known for his work on Top Cow Productions' '' Cyberforce'', as well as numerous subsequent titles for Marvel Comics and DC Comics, such as '' The New Avengers'', '' Moon Knight'', ''Ultimatum'', and ''Brightest Day''. He has provided album cover art for the band Disturbed, and done concept art for films such as ''Watchmen''. Career David Finch started his comics career drawing Top Cow Productions' '' Cyberforce'', after series creator and studio founder Marc Silvestri ceased his run as writer/artist on that book. Finch co-created '' Ascension'' with Matt "Batt" Banning. He later worked on the first three issues of '' Aphrodite IX'' with David Wohl. In 2003, Finch returned to comics for a year-long arc on ''Ultimate X-Men'' with writer Brian Michael Bendis. The Arrowverse is an American superhero media franchise and shared universe that is centered on various interconnected television series based on DC Comics superhero characters, primarily airing on The CW as well as web series on CW Seed. The series were developed by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg, Geoff Johns, Ali Adler, Phil Klemmer, Salim Akil, and Caroline Dries. Set in a shared fictional multiverse much like the DC Universe and DC Multiverse in comic books, it was established by fictional crossover, crossing over common plot elements, settings, cast and characters that span six live-action television series and two animated series. The franchise began with ''Arrow (TV series), Arrow'', based on the character Green Arrow, which debuted in October 2012.
