The +2s is a Brazilian band from Rio de Janeiro that composes samba but, at the same time, incorporates the sounds of funk and psychedelia into their music. The music group consists of Moreno Veloso, Domenico Lancelotti, and Alexandre Kassin (who also recorded the music to the anime ''Michiko to Hatchin''). Sam Kassin
Sam Kassin (lit. Shlomo Kassin, born 1944), also known as "Rabbi Sammy", is a Rosh Yeshiva in Israel. He is also the Chief Rabbi of the Bukharan Quarter of Jerusalem. Biography The son of Esther Sutton and Ezra Kassin, Kassin descends from a line of rabbis that dates back to 1600, with roots in Spain. One of 10 children, he was born in 1944 in New York City but raised in Miami Beach, Florida. Kassin did not study Torah until he was 16. He started study in the Ner Yisroel Yeshiva in Baltimore, Maryland. After four years in Baltimore, he spent four more years studying at the Porat Yosef Yeshiva in Jerusalem. It was there that he developed a close relationship with the Gadol Hador, the Gaon, Rabbi Ovadia Yoseph, then Sephardic Chief Rabbi of Israel, who ordained him as a rabbi in 1971. In 1972, Kassin returned to the United States at the request of Rabbi Moshe Shamah to establish a high school for the children of the Syrian Jewish community in Brooklyn. Saul Kassin is a distinguished professor of psychology at John Jay College of Criminal Justice - City University of New York and Massachusetts Professor Emeritus of Psychology at Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts. Biography and education Saul Kassin is an American social psychologist. Born in 1953, he was raised in Brooklyn, and then in Belle Harbor, New York. He attended Brooklyn College from 1971 to 1974 and graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a Bachelor of Science degree. While there, he helped run experiments on implicit learning for cognitive psychologist and mentor Arthur S. Reber. From 1974 to 1978, he attended the University of Connecticut in Storrs, Connecticut, where he received his Ph.D. in personality and social psychology.
