Siglinde Kallnbach
Siglinde Kallnbach (born in 1956 in Tann, Hesse) is an internationally active German artist. Her work includes performance art, installation art, multimedia art, photography, and art intervention. Biography From 1976 to 1983, Kallnbach studied at the Hochschule für bildende Künste in Kassel and attended the classes of Harry Kramer, Karl Oskar Blase, Georg Bussmann and Heiner Georgsdorf. She received a scholarship by the Evangelische Studienwerk Villigst. In 1977, Kallnbach spent an academic year in Auckland. In 1983, she graduated in fine arts, partly with the performance ''Examensperformance L(e)ine'', and passed her ''Staatsexamen'' (Teacher Certificate Examination) in art education and English studies. Collegium Carolinum (Kassel)
The Collegium Carolinum (also known as ) was a scientific institution in Kassel, Germany. It was founded in 1709 by Charles I, Landgrave of Hesse-Kassel and closed after the 1785 death of Frederick II, Landgrave of Hesse-Kassel. The Ottoneum housed most of its activities. However, a new anatomical theatre, the first in Germany, was used by Samuel Thomas von Sömmerring. The Collegium Carolinum was founded as a "new kind of university", where mathematics, the sciences, anatomy and geography should be more important compared to the classical humanist subjects taught at the nearby University of Marburg. In 1766, it was reorganised into a polytechnic by Frederick II and concentrated more on the arts and applicable sciences. Miao Xiaochun
Miao Xiaochun (, born 1964, in Wuxi, Jiangsu, China) is an artist and photographer based in Beijing. Life Miao Xiaochun was born in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province. In 1986 he received his bachelor's degree and graduated from Nanjing University. In 1989 Miao graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, China and from Kassel Academy of Fine Arts in Germany in 1999 for two master's degrees. Until now he is teaching Art Photography and Digital Media at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. Wilhelm Schmidthild (January 30, 1876 in Hildesheim, Germany as Wilhelm Schmidt – January 30, 1951 in Peine, Germany) was a German painter, graphic artist, illustrator and art professor. He chose as his field detailed documentation as an illustrator for botanical and zoological reference books and free compositions in the tradition of realism. He is also known as Schmidt-Hild. Amalie Tischbein
Wilhelmine Caroline Amalie Tischbein (born Apell, 1757—1839) was a German drawing artist, miniature painter and etcher from the Kassel branch of the Tischbein family of artists. She worked in Weimar, then Kassel. Life Amalie Tischbein was born in Kassel at the beginning of the Seven Years' War in 1757 as the daughter of Marie Sophie Tischbein (née Robert) and the painter Johann Heinrich Tischbein. Her mother came from a distinguished Huguenot family that had been resident in Kassel since the end of the 17th century. She had married Tischbein in 1756 and died a few months after giving birth to a second daughter in 1759. Amalie's father married his sister-in-law Anne Marie Pernette in 1763, who also died the following year. These deaths likely had a strong impact on the "intimate relationship" between father and daughters, as noted by a contemporary biographer.
