Birch
A birch is a thin-leaved deciduous hardwood tree of the genus ''Betula'' (), in the family Betulaceae, which also includes alders, hazels, and hornbeams. It is closely related to the beech-oak family Fagaceae. The genus ''Betula'' contains 30 to 60 known taxa of which 11 are on the IUCN 2011 Red List of Threatened Species. They are a typically rather short-lived pioneer species widespread in the Northern Hemisphere, particularly in northern areas of temperate climates and in boreal climates. Description Birch species are generally small to medium-sized trees or shrubs, mostly of northern temperate and boreal climates. Herman Kask
Herman Kask (died 1918), also known as Hermann Kask, was an Estonian surveyor and politician. Kask was elected to the Estonian Provincial Assembly, which governed the Autonomous Governorate of Estonia between 1917 and 1919; he was the Assembly's Second Assistant Secretary between 27 July 1917 and 25 October 17, when he was appointed full Secretary. Brainpool is a pop music group from Lund, Sweden. The band was most popular in the mid-1990s, mostly in the Swedish indie-pop scene together with other bands like Eggstone or Beagle. Oskar Kask
Oskar Kask (7 January 1898 Pärnu – 13 April 1942 Sosva, Russia) was an Estonian politician. He was a member of the III, IV and V Riigikogu. Kask was the mayor of Pärnu from 1924 until 1936. Peet Kask (born 21 February 1948) is an Estonian physicist, political scientist and former politician, most notable for voting for the Estonian restoration of Independence. Kask graduated from the University of Tartu in 1971 with a degree in physics. He defended his dissertation in 1975. He studied politics at Columbia University from 1993 to 1994. He worked at the National Institute of Chemical Physics and Biophysics from its creation until 1990. His field of research is fluorescence-based detection techniques for molecules. He is one of the largest owners of patents in Estonia. Kask helped with many of the findings of the application of the German company Evotech-Technologies products. Teet Kask (born 8 May 1968 in Pärnu) is an Estonian choreographer. Overview In 1978, he joined the Tallinn Ballet School, where he studied Vaganova classical ballet. At 18 years old, he had leading roles in the Estonian National Ballet. A turning point for Kask came when he was engaged by The Royal Swedish Ballet, in 1989, as the first Estonian ballet artist to work full-time in West before the Iron Curtain fell in 1991.
