Kashino Dikro
''Kashino Dikro'' () is a 1979 Indian Gujarati film directed by Kanti Madia. Being the first and the only film of Madia, it starred Rajiv, Ragini, Rita Bhaduri, and Pranlal Kharsani. The film was produced by Cine India International. Adapted from Vinodini Nilkanth's short story ''Dariyav Dil'', film's script and dialogues were written by Prabodh Joshi. Barun Mukherji was a cinematographer. The film features music composed by Kshemu Divetia, who earned State Films Award in Best Music Director category for the film. Plot Kashi (Ragini) raises her brother-in-law (Rajiv), who dies on his wedding night from snakebite. His widowed wife Rama (Bhaduri) get raped by Kashi's husband, and she becomes pregnant. Kashi decides to save her family's as well as Rama's honour by pretending to be a pregnant herself, and later adopts Rama's son as her own. In the end, Kashi dies. Kanti Madia
Kanti Madia (or Kanti Madiya) was an Indian actor, director, producer and playwright from Gujarat, India. He established the Natyasampada theatre company, and directed more than 30 plays. He is particularly known for directing the Gujarati film '' Kashino Dikro'' (1979), his only film. Biography Kanti Madia was born on 7 March 1932 into a Jain family in the former princely state Lathi. In 1948, he entered in Bhavan's College, Mumbai where he won prizes for acting and directing. In 1952, he started his career in theatre. His first one-act play ''Raakhna Ramakada'' became instant hit. In 1959, he established Bohemians theatre company. Although he received many offers from Bollywood, he directed only one film, '' Kashino Dikro'' (1979), which he adapted from the Gujarati short story, ''Dariyav Dil'', written by Vinodini Nilkanth. Harshida Raval
Harshida Raval was a singer from Gujarat, India. She had worked as a playback singer in Gujarati cinema as well as Sugam Sangeet and devotional music. She died on 24 July 2017 at Ahmedabad. Life Rawal was born in Limdi, Gujarat to Manishankar Vyas. Her talent was first recognised in a programme of Shruti Sanstha when she sang "Keva Re Malela Manna Mel?", which was later used in the Gujarati film ''Kashino Dikro''. Rasbihari Desai
Rasbihari Desai (1935 – 2012), also known as Rasbhai, was a vocalist and composer of Gujarati language, Gujarati and Hindi songs. He had a deep sonorous voice. He lived up to what he used to say – ''“Sureelo kanth,'' ''sureelu-n jeevan'' (A Melodious Voice, A Melodious Life).” As well as being a professor of physics, he was also interested in spirituality. He did not receive any formal training in music, and he was more self-taught. Rasbibari also liked reading.
