''Kasethan Kadavulada'' () is a 2023 Indian Tamil-language heist comedy film written, produced and directed by R. Kannan. It is a remake of the 1972 Tamil film of the same name. The film stars Shiva, Priya Anand, and Yogi Babu, with Urvashi, Karunakaran, Sivaangi Krishnakumar, Pugazh, Thalaivasal Vijay and Manobala in supporting roles. It revolves around a man collaborating with his cousin and a friend to steal money from his stingy sister-in-law. Principal photography began in July 2021 and ended by the following August within 35 working days. The film was released in theatres on 27 May 2023, following multiple delays since October 2022 caused by legal and financial issues. ''Kasethan Kadavulada'' () is a 1972 Indian Tamil-language caper comedy film written and directed by Chitralaya Gopu. The film stars Muthuraman and Lakshmi, with M. R. R. Vasu, Thengai Srinivasan, Srikanth, Moorthy, Manorama, Rama Prabha and Jayakumari in supporting roles. It focuses on a young man (Muthuraman) collaborating with his cousin (Sreekanth) and friend (Srinivasan) to steal money from his stingy stepmother (Manorama). ''Kasethan Kadavulada'', based on Gopu's play of the same name is the directorial debut of Gopu, and was produced by AVM Productions. Muthuraman and Moorthy reprise their roles from the play. Siddharth Vipin
Siddharth Vipin is an Indian composer, who mainly produces film scores and soundtracks in the Tamil film industry. He recently married Shriya Mohandas who is an advocate. Early life Siddharth was born in Salem,Tamil Nadu. Finished his schooling in Muscat, Oman, he chose to attend Loyola College, Chennai for a B.Com degree and also is a professional Sound Engineer from SAE Institute. Kannan is an Indian film music composer who worked in the Tamil film industry. He debuted in 2010 with ''Thamizh Padam''. Career Kannan studied at Music College before beginning his career as a guitarist in 1988. Over the course of a decade, he composed jingles for about 600 commercials through the agency of C. S. Amudhan. Wrap, as used in the phrase "That's a wrap" has been used by directors since the early days of the film industry to signal the end of filming. Since the 1920s, filmmakers have been using this phrase when principal photography is concluded and the film is ready to go into post-production. At that point, it is traditional to hold a wrap party for the cast and crew of the film. This marks the end of the actors' collaboration with each other, the director, producer, and crew on the film (except for possible dubbing or pick-ups). Vennira Aadai Moorthy (born 25 July 1936) is an Indian actor and comedian in Tamil cinema. He has starred in many Tamil films and television serials as a comedian and also played supporting roles. Srikanth (19 March 1940 – 12 October 2021) was an Indian actor who has performed in around 200 Tamil films since his debut in 1965. He is also referred to as Venniradai Srikanth. He has played the lead hero in around 50 films between 1965 and 1979 and has also played supporting roles in films with actors Sivaji Ganesan, Muthuraman, Ravichandran and Jaishankar in the lead roles.
