Karvannan
Karvannan (died 13 February 2015) was an Indian film director, producer and screenwriter who worked on Tamil films. Career Karvannan associated three times with actor Murali, during his five film career, working on '' Paalam'' (1990), ''Pudhiya Katru'' (1990) and '' Thondan'' (1995). After a break in the late 1990s, he returned to make another feature film titled ''Remote'' (2004) with Napolean in the lead role. Paalam (1990 Film)
''Paalam'' () is a 1990 Indian Tamil-language vigilante film directed by Karvannan. The film stars Murali, M. N. Nambiar, Kitty and newcomer Vasudevan Baskaran, with Senthil, Anuja, Suryakanth, Balambika, Kannan, Ramesh and Gowri in supporting roles. It was released on 10 March 1990. Plot In the past, Jeeva was a college student studying in the city. His family lived in his native village, he has a brother Muthu, a sister-in-law Vadivukkarasi and a blind sister Selvi. Muthu and the villagers were tired of getting a small amount for their manual labour, so they went on strike. The wealthy landlord Arivumathi reluctantly accepted for their claim, he felt that the villagers didn't respect him anymore. So Arivumathi sent henchmen to kill Muthu, in the meantime, Arivumathi raped his wife Vadivukkarasi and he kidnapped the blind Selvi. ''Thondan'' () is a 1995 Indian Tamil-language political drama film directed by Karvannan. The film stars Murali and Rohini, with Anandaraj, Manivannan, Srividya, Vinodhini, Vadivukkarasi, Gnanavel and S. Ramadoss playing supporting roles. The film, produced by R. K. Film Makers Circuit, had musical score by Rajan Sarma and was released on 10 March 1995. Plot Jeeva ( Murali) is an angry young who works as an auto-driver. During his childhood, Jeeva could not go to school because of his father, who forced him to work at a very young age, thus he suffers from an inferiority complex. Every time, he sees a child working, Jeeva feels angry and he then forces the kid to go to school at any cost. S. D. Murali (19 May 1964 – 8 September 2010) was an Indian actor who appeared in Kannada and Tamil films. He was famous for roles that portrayed him as a perceptive singer or a tragic lover. His son, Atharvaa, debuted as an actor in the 2010 film ''Baana Kaathadi''. Early life Murali was born on 19 May 1964 in Bangalore to a Kannadiga father and Tamil mother. Murali had two siblings; a younger brother S.D.Suresh and a sister Santhi. He lived and studied up to his 5th Standard in Chennai, and from 6th Standard to 10th Standard he studied in Bangalore. Kumaresan Duraisamy (born 2 December 1963), known professionally by his stage name Napoleon, is an Indian actor, politician and entrepreneur. He was the Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment in Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's cabinet. He has acted in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and English movies. 2004 Indian Ocean Earthquake And Tsunami
An earthquake and a tsunami, known as the Boxing Day Tsunami and, by the scientific community, the Sumatra–Andaman earthquake, occurred at 07:58:53 local time (UTC+7) on 26 December 2004, with an epicentre off the west coast of northern Sumatra, Indonesia. It was an undersea megathrust earthquake that registered a magnitude of 9.1–9.3 , reaching a Mercalli intensity up to IX in certain areas.
