Karoondi
Karoondi (Sindhi language, Sindhi:ڪرونڊي) is a small town along Mehran Highway in Khairpur District, District Khairpur, Sindh province of Pakistan. It is situated in taluka Faiz Ganj which is one of the eight talukas of the District. The town lies between two canals: Faiz Ganj canal passes by its western side whereas Veeho canal passes by the eastern. This city was established by Rajpar Hindu and Muslim community. In 1904 Along with Relatives and all family of Usman Khan Rajper settled here from Beela Wah, Naushahro feroze District and Oman Khan Rajpar settled here from Warhecho, Nawabshah district. There are fertile farmlands around it owned by descendants of Wadeero Budhal khan Rajper, Wadeero Oman Khan Rajpar and Wadeero Usman khan Rajper and a number of villages in the outskirts. Mehran Highway
Mehran Highway ( sd, مِهِراڻ ُ هاءِوي, ur, , also known locally as Nawabshah–Kot Lalu–Kumb Road and officially as Highway 31) is a two-lane-wide, bidirectional, single carriageway, provincially maintained highway in Sindh that extends from Khairpur to Nawabshah. The route is generally rural, passing near several smaller towns including Daur and Bandhi in Shaheed Benazir Abad District and Kot Lalu, Pacca Chang, Karoondi, Sui Gas, and Ranipur in Khairpur District. The northern terminus merges with the N-5 National Highway at Ranipur while the southern terminus merges with N-305 National Highway at Zero Point Nawabshah. History Prior to reconstruction of the Mehran Highway, the route was known as Kumb–Nawabshah Road. Khairpur District ( sd, خيرپور ضلعو, ur, ) is a district in the Pakistani province of Sindh in Sukkur Division. At the 2017 census, it was the fifth most populated district in the province after four districts of Karachi city, with 2.4 million inhabitants. The headquarters of the district is the city of Khairpur. The district is further divided into eight sub-districts: Khairpur Tehsil, Mirwah Tehsil, Kot Diji Tehsil, Kingri Tehsil, Sobho Dero Tehsil, Gambat Tehsil, Faiz Ganj Tehsil and Nara Tehsil.
