Carnival In Germany, Switzerland And Austria
A variety of customs and traditions are associated with Carnival celebrations in the German-speaking countries of Germany, Switzerland and Austria. They can vary considerably from country to country, but also from one small region to another. This is reflected in the various names given to these festivities occurring before Lent. Names In parts of eastern and southern Germany, as well as in Austria, the carnival is called ''Fasching''. In Franconia and Baden-Württemberg as well as some other parts of Germany, the carnival is called ''Fas(t)nacht'', ''Fassenacht'' or ''Fasnet''; in Switzerland, ''Fasnacht''. While Germany's carnival traditions are mostly celebrated in the predominantly Roman Catholic southern and western parts of the country, the Protestant north traditionally knows a festival under the Low Saxon names ''Fastelavend'' , ''Fastelabend'' and ''Fastlaam'' (also spelled ''Fastlom'', ). Marianne Rosenberg
Marianne Rosenberg (born 10 March 1955) is a German Schlager music singer and songwriter. Personal background Rosenberg is of Roma and Sinti background. Her father, Otto, an Auschwitz death camp survivor, was an activist on Roma and Sinti issues. Her sister, Petra, also advocates for Roma issues. Career Rosenberg's musical career was consolidated throughout the 1970s with hits such as "" ("Stranger"), "" ("He belongs to me"), "" ("I am like you") which was later sampled by Blue Adonis on their track "Disco Cop", "Marleen", and "" ("Songs of the Night"), often making appearances on TV and radio. She is considered one of the most successful performers of German Schlager of the last four decades. She was one of the first German singers to introduce disco in the German music market with "Ich bin wie du". Karneval (manga)
is a Japanese manga series by Tōya Mikanagi which originally started serialization in the monthly Josei Manga magazine ''Monthly Comic Zero Sum'' published by Ichijinsha on August 28, 2007. There are currently twenty-eight volumes released in Japan. The series follows Nai and Gareki, who join a defense organization called Circus in hopes of finding a man named Karoku. However, they are unaware that Karoku belongs to a secret organization called Kafka, which is responsible for performing human and animal experiments called Varugas. A 13-episode anime adaptation by Manglobe aired between April and June 2013. Plot Nai searches for someone important to him, with only an abandoned bracelet as a clue. Gareki steals and pick-pockets to get by from day to day. The two meet in a strange mansion where they are set up, and soon become wanted criminals by military security operatives.
