Karlton Hester
Karlton Hester (born February 11, 1949) is an American, performer, composer, scholar, and educator. Biography Hester earned his B.M. at University of Texas at El Paso, his M.A. in Music Education from San Francisco State University, and his Ph.D. in composition from the City University of New York Graduate Center. He formally studied flute with Harry Nelsova and Paul Renzi, saxophone with Frank Chase and Bill Tremble, composition with Bruce Saylor and Robert Starer, and improvisation with Joe Henderson and John Handy. He began his career as a studio musician and music educator in Los Angeles and would later serve as the Herbert Gussman Director of Jazz Studies at Cornell University from 1990 to 2000. Karlton Rolle
Karlton Rolle (born August 14, 1990) is a Bahamian sprinter from Nassau, Bahamas who competed in the 100m 200m and 400m. He attended Nassau Christian Academy high school in Nassau, Bahamas, before going on to compete for UCLA. He won a bronze medal in the 400m open even and the 4x400 relay at the 2005 CARIFTA Games in Tobago. Karlton Rosholt
Karlton Jerome Rosholt (January 20, 1923 – April 4, 2008) was an American journalist and author. Background Rosholt was born in 1923 in Glasgow, Montana. His parents were Carl Lauritz Rosholt (1881–1952) and Ida Emilia Solem (1893–1926). He has one younger brother, Norman Tegnear Rosholt. Rosholt attended Luther College, but was interrupted by World War II. During the war, he served with the 95th Infantry Division. After the war, he was graduated from Luther with a degree in mathematics in 1948. During college, Rosholt twice won national forensic championships in extemporaneous speech, both times winning the college division and then representing the college division in the university division and winning it. Luther College later honored him with the first Oliver Eittreim Award for Excellence in Broadcast Media (1977) and a Distinguished Service Award (1998).
