Karlslunds IF FK is a Swedish football club located in the Karlslund neighbourhood in western Örebro. Background Karlslunds IF's football team has participated mainly in the lower divisions of the Swedish football league system but has enjoyed periods of success most notably an appearance in Division 1 Norra in 2009 and a few seasons in Division 2 in the 1980s. The club currently plays in Division 1 Norra which is the third tier of Swedish football. They play their home matches at the Karlslund Arena in Örebro. The club is affiliated to the Örebro Läns Fotbollförbund. Karlslunds IF is a Sweden, Swedish sports club with several departments, located in Örebro. Karlslunds IF runs one of the biggest programme for athletics in Örebro, Sweden, with some 4000 members and more than 200 coaches coaching eight different sports. Currently women's football (known as KIF Örebro DFF) and skiing have the most successful teams. History The Club (organization), club was founded on April 27, 1920 by a group of young Sportsperson, athletes living in the Karlslund area in western Örebro. With an original focus on sport of athletics, athletics, skiing and football (soccer), football, the club quickly branched into other sports, becoming one of Örebro's most successful sports clubs of the 20th and 21st century. Division 1 2009
The 2009 Division 1 was contested by 28 teams divided into two groups geographically. Degerfors IF and Östers IF won their respective groups, and were thereby qualified for play in the 2010 Superettan. IK Brage who finished second in their group were also promoted after winning their playoff. Christer Lipovac
Christer Lipovac (born 7 March 1996) is a Swedish footballer, of Croatian descent, who plays for Karlslunds IF as a forward. Career Lipovac signed his first professional deal at age 16 when his boyhood club Karlslunds IF gave him a first team contract in 2012. The following year he was bought by Örebro SK who loaned him back to Karlslund for the 2013 season so that he could get playtime at the fourth tier level. On 4 May 2014 he made his Allsvenskan debut when he came on as a second-half substitute in an away game against Kalmar FF. Laurence "Laurie" Bell (born 1 September 1992) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder. During his career, Bell has played in his home nation as well as in the USA, Sweden and Wales. Career Early career Bell joined Stockport County's School of Excellence at the age of eight, before moving to Manchester City's academy four years later. However, City let him go at the age of 16. After which he spent two years on a youth team apprenticeship at Rochdale, where he was part of a Football League Youth Alliance-title winning squad. However the club released him in May 2011. Bell played college soccer at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee between 2011 and 2014.
